Disney store bo-going out of their minds with a plush sale
The Disney Store online has a Buy One, Get One for US$1 sale on a variety of plush items. That variety is pretty much Star Wars to Doc McStuffins (with its dorky dragon guy and all). A sale is a sale, and personally I'm always looking for a good deal. Plus Valentine's is approaching, so maybe this provides ideas.
A few things caught my eye, scrolling through the deals. Pascal from Tangled has some wacky eyes, and that's something coming from a nerdy chameleon. There's a Lots-O'-Huggin Bear from Toy Story 3; I mean, you can get the evil version of a toy-torturing, broken-hearted psychopath. For Disney store, that seems kind of nuts. No gentle, fake smiles here.
And what do I see, just hanging out among the Disney canon characters? Wicket, the Ewok. I kind of hoped we'd see a deluge of Ewok merchandise when the Disney/Lucasfilm deal went down, but actually seeing it is an entirely different story. I'd get it for just about anyone that complains about teddy bears with spears killing the Empire. And I plan to do just that.
Yea, there's plenty of Star Wars. There's also plenty of classic and new Disney characters. Frankly, I was unaware of all the new characters made into huggable little toys. Anytime I make it to a Disney Store, I go straight for the Star Wars Black Series peg (continually filled with Slave Leias, of course) and then scour the clearance section for weird notebooks or cups. When my location in the mall reopens, I'll have to sift through this vast collection. The Rocket Raccoon is probably in scale with humans, if that's something that matters to you. And the Wampa does not include bloody fur...disappointing. Samples in the gallery, and a handy link to see for yourself.

Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: 2015 Themes Recap, Part 1
Max Factory Kill la Kills it with Kiryuin Satsuki figma
The popular anime series Kill la Kill can come home to you with this figma of Honnouji Academy's student council's President Kiryuin Satsuki. Max Factory along with designers Nobuhiko Asahina and Taizo bring Kiryuin to life in her Junketsu Life Fiber battle gear.
Satsuki is made from PVC, utilizing softer plastic so that she has posability without affecting the look of the figure. Included with the figure is also her main weapon, Bakuzan the sword, along with a scabbard, a paper cut out of several 1 star ranked Honnouji Academy students, a posable pvc stand, and her half of the life fiber scissors blade than can be matched up with the half that comes with the Ryuko Matoi figma, creating the full scissors weapon (both regular mode and decapitation mode are included). Satsuki also comes with three different expressions, glaring, shouting, and an ever so subtle smile to mach whatever pose you wish.
Kiryuin Satsuki is up for pre-order for around US$50 and will be shipped out in August.
