Well, were you on the fence about collecting S.H. Figuarts Star Wars representations? That decision just got a lot easier, as Luke Skywalker has entered the fray. I was one of those people crying out for six inch Star Wars figures for years "I'll buy them all," I said. Little did I know there would be two lines of them.
This Luke's face sculpt looks pretty great. It's funny, I think the wind-blown-hair head looks like Hamill in Episode IV. Judging from the comparison with his long-separated father, the scaling issues may still apply however. But that's why we have the Black Series, right?
From what I gather via Google Translate (my Japanese reading comprehensive is fair, but I wanted to be more than sure) it seems they are touting the digital coloring technique used on the Michael Jackson Figuarts (which, make more of those please). Darth Vader is coming soon, and if you get the first release version you'll receive a figure stand to recreate their duel at the end of Return of the Jedi (a wonderfully filmed scene). It's almost like they...thought ahead.
No price announced yet, but I would speculate around the price of the Stormtrooper...this license can't be cheap. And since it's Figuarts, you'll get the treasure trove of alternate heads and hands. Those haven't been announced or shown fully, but more as we get it. Included in the gallery is the diorama that comes with Vader.
