Tomopop Review: Kotobukiya's ARTFX J Eren Yaeger
It's difficult to argue against Attack on Titan being the biggest breakout hit in anime in years. The manga is selling millions of copies, the TV show has been a sensation both in and outside of Japan, cosplay of the characters has overrun conventions, and of course the figure world has sat up and taken notice. Taken too much notice in fact - we haven't seen this many figures from one franchise pouring onto the market in quite some time. For me, at least, it's made it pretty hard to get excited about any new release. Kotobukiya are going to do their darndest though, since their rendition of hero Eren Yaeger is one of the most spectacular looking out there. Let's see how they did.

CW’S TRAILER FOR IZOMBIE IS OUT
I haven’t seen Arrow, I haven’t seen Flash, but I know that this iZombie trailer looks like an advertisement for a Disney Channel show involving brains, and I’m not really interested. The comic series, however, is from DC Comic’s Vertigo inprint, which means you absolutely need to read it. I’ll give this show a shot.
iZombie hits The CW Tuesday, March 17.

DREDD 2 IS NOT HAPPENING SAYS SCREENWRITER ALEX GARLAND
Kinda.
There have been hopes to a Dredd sequel ever since its home video launch, surprisingly selling an insane of units and proving to be a popular film post-theaterical release. Fans have petitioned, joined a huge Facebook page to help rally the idea, and made huge amounts of fan art to support the idea. It still hasn’t been announced. According to Alex Garland, it might not be happening. At least with him on board.
In a new interview with IGN, screenwriter Garland commented on the idea of a Dredd sequel:
My hope is, and I actually think this will happen – somebody else will do it. Not to be all coy and silly about it, but I think our film was better than the first one, right? Just to be blunt. And the job of the next people is to make their film better than ours. And then if they do that, then finally, maybe this character will break out in the way that it deserves to.
He didn’t truly rule out the idea, but Uproxx agrees that Alex Garland might not be connected to any sequel with Karl Urban. Shame, shame, but at least Garland is hopeful of a sequel arising one way or another.
Fans can still try to nab a copy of Dredd’s unofficially movie sequel comic book, Dredd: Underbelly, if you really need it.
