Reserve or Regret? Week of April 8 to 14, 2012
Excuse my tardiness, folks. Busy, busy, busy. But not busy enough to keep you from spending your money. Last week was quite the exciting week for figure pre-orders. So many to list that it's tough to decide how to summarize it in such little space.
MegaHouse brings more sells outs with One Piece figures of Arlong and Brook while ALTER goes re-release with Narika Shihoudou from Beat Blades Haruka and Flynn Scifo from Tales of Vesperia. Other exciting releases also include figma Yukiko from Persona 4, Good Smile Company's Inori from Guilty Crown, Killua from Hunter x Hunter by MegaHouse, and Asuka from TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 as a part of Kotobukiya's TEKKEN Bishoujo line.
Fate/Zero fans were treated to a lovely version of Saber as a part of Wave Corporation's Beach Queens series. Griffon Enterprises jumps to the past with Yohko Asagiri from the 1985 title Leda: The Fantastic Adventure of Yohko. Kuroneko of OreImo is sporting a white one-piece in two different types from Kaitendoh while cLayz brings both Kirino and Kuroneko in standing poses. Embrace Japan has something a little different in terms of face styles with Duram Sherif.
A+ is back again with the large scale figures. This time it's Nakuru Narumi from Mayo Chiki! at 1/4.5-scale and with removable underwear. Imagine that, huh? Along those lines, MegaHouse has more Queen's Blade Rebellion with Izumi being NSFW as usual. And then there's the slew of figures I didn't cover from April 13 like another lovely version of Yuuka Kazami from Touhou Project by Griffon Enterprises, the surprising release of Knight Blazer from WILD ARMS 2nd IGNITION by Bandai, and the pair of ladies from Strike Witches 2 as a part of Bandai's Armored Girls Project line.

Review - Transformers Prime Cyberverse Commander Bulkhead

BotCon 2012 Full Schedule Released - Transformers Collectors Club and Hasbro Panels Scheduled Saturday Afternoon

C2E2 2012: DC Collectibles Ame-Comi
Wait, don't click your back button! I know, it's DC's much-maligned Ame-Comi line but these are better than you'd expect. These designs are out there but somewhat truer to the characters than Ame-Comi figures of old. The build quality, at least to my eyes, is actually pretty good on these.
DC Collectibles featured a handful of older Ame-Comi figures, but also showed some upcoming ones. We got a look at: Hawkgirl (May 2012), Black Flash (June 2012), Arisia (August 2012), the squid-tastic Brainiac (September 2012), and a new Harley Quinn (October 2012). Out of these I think Harley's my favorite, and Arisia's my least favorite due to the hair. This is encouraging, though, for the future of Ame-Comi. The faces and overall quality look much better. The designs, though still quite outlandish, at least make some sense. Not bad, DC.
