A few weeks ago right here we cracked the mystery of the relative height of Superion using photos and known values to reach an answer that would ultimately be proven correct. Along that same line, Allspark member Llwynoh has taken some of today's batch of stock photos and used fixed reference points to put together an image showing how Menasor, Megatron, Motormaster, and Dead End stand in relation to each other. It's quite the reminder that these combiners are HUGE! Click through and check it out!

The Colossal Titan gets an equally colossal Be@rbrick

I have to give Be@rbricks credit; they know how to make scale work. What started as a kinda cute offshoot of Medicom's Kubricks didn't waste much time coming into their own. They haven't done a whole lot to shake up their aesthetic (well, aside from making them transform), but they do like to do some fun stuff with scale. Where a standard Be@rbrick is called a 100%, their largest scale to date is the 1000%, a surprisingly extensive line in itself.

That's where Attack on Titan comes in. Be@rbrick Colossal Titan is a whopping 700 mm (27.56 inches) making it the biggest Colossal figure to date. Somehow turning the Colossal Titan into a bear doesn't make it cute, but it is one heck of a conversation piece. Priced at ¥32,000 (US$265) the figure is exclusive to Medicom's web shops with orders ending as soon as January 10. Expect him to ship sometime in May.

This is the first AoT figure to get the Be@rbrick treatment, but hopefully not the last one. It would be great if they did some other characters and titans in the other scales to go with him!

Neill Blomkamp X Alien?

The designs of Neill Blomkamp-films appeals to me greatly and should never cast any doubt on folks who enjoy his brand of sci-fi features (and yes, I am biased). Even though he might not physically have designed them all by himself, his choice and films reflects a pervasive design aesthetic which is presented on all his films, like District 9, Elysium and the upcoming Chappie (which Threezero is

#LookBack March 2014 On TOYSREVIL

2014 was a year I made ("more of") an effort to partake in the (sub-genre-ish?) scene, beyond just blogging news about, and that made quite a "difference" for me personally, "quality" of drawings aside (which was not as important as actually attempting to do it), and I am grateful for it. One main thing got me started in March was DaCosta's "March of Robots" - which begun life as a Kickstarter
