Toy drive to help robbed Salvation Army in memory of Riley Mercer
About $2,500 of toys for an annual drive was stolen from the Salvation Army in Conception Bay South in October. Now, one family says they'll be holding another toy drive to benefit the Salvation Army, as well as mark the first anniversary of their son's death. Louise Mercer decided to initiate the new toy drive after the robbery.

GoodSmile Company gives us a Racing Miku... Transformer?
Unveiled over the weekend, GoodSmile Company showed off the next item in their Wonderful Hobby Selection in the shape of a collaboration with Shouji Kawamori to give us a racing Miku "Transformer" (and I use the term lightly here).
The figure is fully transformable from its GT Racing car form and is based off a piece of artwork which Kawamori drew back in February. As for the transformation mechanism itself, rather than using the body to become parts of the humanoid body, the car body itself seems more to wrap around a separate humanoid figure and folds and attaches itself to certain areas when the body becomes visible. It's kinda reminiscent of the toy line from the Transformers: Robots in Disguise series from 2001, with the visible parts of the car simply hanging off the body.
If you're interested in purchasing one of these... items, they are now available to pre-order on the GoodSmile Online store for ¥8,000 and you have until December 10th to get your order in.
Seriously though, what the heck? Anyone seriously interested in getting one of these? Are there really big enough Miku fans to go that far?

Bishoujo Anna Williams gets a preview gallery
What was teased in July has now become a real thing: here's Kotobukiya's Tekken Bishoujo Anna Williams! The translation from illustration to figure went pretty well. While Anna's pose looks a bit silly from some angles, at least it's not super twisted like Nina's. Overall I find her red dress and powerful legs to be the most appealing parts.
Kotobukiya has posted a bunch of product shots on their Facebook page, so I encourage you to check it out. The post suggests that pre-orders will open soon, though they're not up at this very moment. Hopefully this will turn into a pretty solid figure!
