Chris Stoeckel's Trip to the Jersey Shore
Like most doll lovers, he doesn't leave home without at least one doll. I asked Chris to send me a few pictures. He did and told me that he always tries to take a travel doll on trips as he'd rather look at pics of a doll than photos of himself when it's over.
These photos feature the glamorous Victoire.
One of the features that makes these photos so much fun to look at are the angles from which the photos were shot. Chris gets down to the level of the doll in most shots. The doll looks as if she could be life-sized as a result.

Pre-orders begin for Kotobukiya's gorgeous Cardcaptor Sakura
I was too excited for words when Kotobukiya announced they'd be adding Sakura Kinomoto to their ARTFX J line back at Wonder Festival. Now the first part of the waiting process is over, as she's up for pre-order alongside a batch of delightful promo shots.
Needless to say I love everything about this - great pose, incredible detail (all those ruffles!) and a delightful paintjob. She's even got a nicely unique look due to being based on manga art rather than the anime design. A little chubbier in the face, a little more extravagant with the hair, it's a good way to make the figure stand out from the increasing hoard of Cardcaptor Sakura merchandise that's descending upon us.
At ¥11,000 Sakura isn't on the cheap side, but Kotobukiya has a reputation of delivering high quality stuff and it's certainly a price I'm willing to pay. If you're with me, hit the links below to ensure Sakura comes winging to your door in April of next year.
