Koto's Bishoujo She-Hulk shows off the guns in a preview gallery

Kotobukiya unveiled its previously teased Marvel Bishoujo She-Hulk at NYCC (check out our coverage!), which has now been followed by a preview gallery, and... yes, it's pretty good, but what were they thinking with that face? From many angles, it looks even more out of place than the average Bishoujo face.

Granted, if you're a fan of Shunya's general style then it's something that may not bother you. However, I was impressed by how well the overall design turned out... and then I saw her face (it's also why I didn't go for a close-up in the header image). Kotobukiya has allegedly cowed to fan pressure in the past so I suppose anything can happen.

A Trio Of Elegant Victorian Snow-Ladies - Meet Molly, Meg, and MiMi

A year ago I bought some snow paint that I wanted to use to make some snow-ladies.  Like most things with me I never got the time to use the snow so when I was contemplating the types of mixed media collage art dolls I wanted to make I decided to make three snow-ladies using the snow paint.  I made three mixed media Victorian collage snow-ladies and named them Molly, Meg, and MiMi.

Molly- 3 1/2" 3 1/2"x 9" Handmade Mixed Media Victorian Collage Art Doll With Paper-Clay Face

Molly, Meg, and MiMi are the most fashionable trio of snow-ladies around. They are always perfectly dressed for every occasion and especially love dressing for the annual snow gala. That's when they get to wear their finest Victorian attire.

Molly is a 3 1/2" 3 1/2"x 9" mixed media Victorian snow-lady wood doll with a painted face with orange painted carrot nose, and rosy blushed cheeks. Her eyes, eyebrows, and mouth are painted black. Her sides and back are antique painted and her outfit is an embellished paper collage adorned with white snow paint. Her paper collage dress has is adorned with lace trim and white raised dots. Her jacket with lapels is adorned with white raised dots and fringed white dots & and lace trim is wrapped around her waist. A beautiful white crocheted lace shawl is wrapped around her shoulders and adorned with gold and silver rhinestones. Her hair is fashioned with white snow paint and a teal blue wired ribbon scarf is double wrapped around her head and neck. White snow paint surrounds her bottom layer and the top of her base. Colorful ribbon is wrapped around her painted wooden base.

NYCC 2014: Bandai of America

While many view Bandai of America as the poor (American) man's version of Bandai of Japan, the company has notably been offering fans things that its Asian counterpart have not: the American-exclusive Power Rangers villains (Lord Zedd and now Ivan Ooze) and recreations of the ninetiestalgic Power Rangers Zords and accessories. Otherwise BoA continues to offer the more kid-friendly, affordable merchandise that it's known for.

Details (and images) after the jump.

You're probably more familiar with How To Ride A Dinobot in the form of the three cartoon clips that hit YouTube when Age of Extinction hit theaters. However, there's also a mini-comic from IDW, and Hasbro is now offering it free on their site! It's written by John Barber with art by Marcelo Ferreria, colors by Priscilla Tramontano, and letters by Shawn Lee. Keep reading for the link!

Ultimetal Optimus Prime In-Hand Images!

Singapore's Planet Iacon has posted a gallery of in-hand images of the super-big, super-elaborate, super-expensive Ultimetal Optimus Prime! The figure comes with a near-complete set of magnetic snap-on armor, a fancy base with stand, a Matrix of Leadership that also fits on the stand, and eyes that light up and a faceplate that moves when it talks. And it's huge. As is the price- about $760 USD. Keep reading to see the photos, which is as close as most of us are ever going to get to owning one of these!

NYCC 2014: NECA

NECA's NYCC display included a lot of previously unveiled collectibles as well as showing off NECA's NYCC-exclusives which included the Ahab Predator, a Pacific Rim boxed set featuring all-black Jaeger variants, and some Scalers. Also on display was Dante and a NECA convention exclusive version of The Simpsons 25th anniversary Bret "the Hitman" Hart (who cameo'd in "The Old Man and the Lisa") figure.

Alas, no new Mogwais (except the SDCC ones) or Gremlins were apparently on display. However, NECA showed off a new Burning Godzilla figure, a Festivus pole (Seinfield), a lot of upcoming Body Knockers, and there were a ton of Pacific Rim figures on display (once again reminding me that I haven't even picked up one so far).

Be sure to check out the gallery.

Did you 'catch' DST's NYCC-exclusive Ghostbusters Minimate?

Not all NYCC-exclusives cost an arm and a leg. In fact, some cost nothing at all; such is the case with Diamond Select Toys' NYCC-exclusive Ghostbusters Minimate which could have been yours for the low, low price of stopping by DST's booth (#1736) at NYCC.

DST released details about the giveaway earlier in the month but it wasn't until a couple of days ago that we saw the actual figure (I'm not sure if our on-site reporter, Andres, managed to get his hands on one). While the character sheet showed that the figure was green, it didn't adequately illustrate the fact that the Minimate would be cast in an awesome-looking translucent Slimer-green (or ectoplasmic green?) color. That instantly makes the figure 20 degrees cooler (can you feel a chill in the room?).

If you didn't nab this guy at the booth then you're probably too late, since the figures were mostly given out in the mornings. It's one more reason why the DST booth should always be one your first stops at these conventions.

Clementine from Telltale's The Walking Dead gets her first action figure

For me, the most exciting news to come out of NYCC is the announcement that Clementine from Telltale’s The Walking Dead will be getting her own figure. I love Telltale’s The Walking Dead series and have longed for them to make figures from the game. It was even my Tomopop Fantasy Figurine pick.

So when I saw that a Clementine figure was announced today by Telltale Games and Robert Kirkman I was extremely happy. Developed by Skybound, Telltale Games, and McFarlane Toys, the prototype figure was there for all to see. Clem will be available in a full color version and a blood splattered version.

She will also be coming with her backpack, pistol, and hammer. More details, along with a release date will be available soon. I can't wait!

The helicopter version of Drift retooled from Dark of The Moon Skyhammer may not be the newest thing around, but this video of the toy is definitely worth looking at. Tsumaraseta did a quick stop motion look at the toy, and finished off with an impressive triple-change sequence using both Generations AOE Drift figures. We love cool stop motion with Transformers, so check out the video embedded below!

As far as I am personally concerned, the scene does not see too much of Japanese anime NEON GENESIS EVANGELION custom art toys (I am a EVA-fan, don't you know? :p) … and I rue the days when I can blog and feature more of them, IMHO … then Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica sent over some snaps of their latest custom-Celsius; EVA01 TEST TYPE-01 - and my faith in the art toy scene is restored! I've always wanted and looked forward to a Mecha Azteca by Jesse Hernandez since when I first blogged about it, I will not lie. And maybe one day I will be able to have him/them in my humble collection … meanwhile I've been staring at this custom piece done for Art Whino's booth at New York Comic Con 2014 and I am left pretty much mouth-opened-and-cyber-drooling!
