Gosh I love Equestria Daily's Plushie Compilation posts. Although they do make me jealous that I don't have these adorable handmade ponies in my collection, or the time to try and make some myself! If you're in the same boat I am, check out the gallery and see all of the recently posted plushies made by the extra talented patrons of Ponyville.

My two favorites would have to be the Daring Do and Derpy Hooves plushies, especially since Derpy comes with her muffin this time. Granted I love the Rarity and Applejack plushies that have made their way in, and the sleeping filly Rainbow Dash as well. Who could forget the Fausticorn from last time, which has now been redone with Lauren Faust's permission after she purchased the original plush. What are you waiting for? I had the pleasure of catching Gareth Evans's Indonesian at action flick, The Raid:Redemption this weekend. Pretty much everything that has followed leaving the theatre has consisted of me kneeing or elbowing it. I'm not sure if my co-workers are totally digging my new style. Doesn't everyone turn off their iMac with a flying knee?

The network was also a battlefield this weekend with plenty of the network's staff out and about at various conventions, ready to get slapped around by readers. The Destructoid crew held down the coverage at PAX East. Japanator was running around Sakura-con, Anime Matsuri, and Anime-Boston. Flixist has some drool worthy give aways for the local Whedonists. Finally, Tomopop made us all drool with their fantastic coverage of all the amazing figures at Hobby Round 7. Go ahead, kick that keyboard.

The dress and wrap Katana that is wearing are from a Monica Merrill doll. I'm thrilled that Tonner's Tyler-sized fashions fit Sybarites because their own fashions are extremely expensive.

I altered the image in Photoshop by de-saturating the entire thing and then going back in with the history brush set on 'color' to bring out the green tones. Then I colored the lips and cheeks with a low opacity brush.

As far as posing goes, I tried to create a support with armature wire but I couldn't achieve it. Part of the problem is that the shoes do not stand flat on the surface and the other problem is that Sybs are very heavy. Soooo...she's leaning on the table.

I'm falling in love with this doll. After this photo shoot I removed her wig and tried several wigs on. What a dramatic difference. Looking forward to photographing her with her new look.
