Nathan Jurevicius reveals a new project produced by Toy Art Gallery, with these work-in-progress snaps featuring a series of gacha (sized) mini figures, in an aesthetic reminiscent of his magical realm of Scary Girl and continued fascination with Peleda Owls. As for the question of their name(s), Nathan shared with me: "the name is still in the air but possibly something Baltic in origin".

Here's Max Factory's Yamato, in case you were wondering about Kantai Collection's take on the legendary battleship. I rather like the figure, except for the mismatched socks. My favorite piece would have to be her hair, especially the way it sweeps down to the base. It lends the figure a delicate feel.
Max Factory is making two versions of this figure. The Light Armament version is featured in this Kahotan preview, which has just Yamato by herself for ¥11,800. They're also making a Heavy Armament version which comes with lots of guns for ¥19,800. Yes it's 1/8-scale. The Heavy Armament figure will be part of Good Smile Company's Wonderful Hobby Selection, signifying their best of the best figures. Both are up for order now and will be released in April 2015.

As a reader of my Linda's Blog you know that I absolutely LOVE Halloween and all the wonderful creatures that can be made like witches, ghosts, goblins, Dracula, Frankenstein, jack-o-lanterns, bats, spiders and spider webs, skeletons, mummies, and so much more. With all that what's not to love abut Halloween.
With all the wonderful creatures that can be made for Halloween out of cloth, wood, cloth and wood, paper, clay, needle-craft, etc. my favorite has to be witches. So, when I was doing a little cleaning of my craft area I found some 3/4" wood shelf sitter shapes that my husband had cut out for me a few years ago. I had intended to make a painted figure of some sort out of them.
Well, in looking at the wood I thought they might make perfect mixed media shelf sitter witches with paper-clay faces and collage outfits. So, I decided to make two of them.
Hildegarde Ann and her twin sister, Hildegarde Brie can hardly wait for Halloween. Not because they love scaring people. but because they're good witches and love handing candy out to all the trick-or-treaters. In fact, they're known in their neighborhood for having the best candy.
Hildegarde Ann is a 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 3/4" mixed media shelf sitter wood doll with a painted paper-clay face with black bead eyes, sponge painted wood body and paper collage embellished outfit. Her sides and back are sponge painted in her favorite Halloween colors and her outfit is an embellished paper collage adorned with a jack-o-lantern, clock, bats, a scary insect, raised dots and a ribbon bow. Her gray thick alpaca yarn hair from Masquerade at Rock Garden Alpacas Fiber is barely controlled under her witches hat. Masquerade's yarn is also wrapped around the band of her witches hat and adorns the brim of the underside of her witches hat.
It's only a couple months until Halloween and Hildegarde Ann can hardly wait.

Somehow, Riot Games' League of Legends has had very little in the way of merchandise — especially figures — which is weird, considering its popularity. That's all changed, however, as it looks like Riot and Good Smile Company have come together to produce Nendoroid Ahri.
The popular mid-lane champion is going to be available at the 2014 World Championships in Seoul, South Korea, per the ticket page on Interpark for the event's semifinals. Ahri should be available at the onsite shop, which will be open during the semifinals at Seoul's Olymic Gymnastics Arena on Oct. 11 and 12.
We'll let you know if she becomes available anywhere besides 2014 Worlds, but given GSC's track record of bundling Nendos with limited edition game packages ... I don't have high hopes yet.
[Business Wire] - On August 28, 2014, girls across the country are invited to step into the world of BeForever, American Girl’s line of historical dolls, books, and related accessories that connects girls ages 8 and up with inspiring characters and timeless stories from America’s past.
“While Legos aren’t exactly uncut diamonds (they’re not nearly as portable), as far as untraceable commodities go, they’re almost as good as cash. Thieves can sell unopened Lego sets, which are very difficult to track, almost immediately online for as much or more than the retail price. And if they sit on them for a […]

Yesterday we saw Kahotan preview Good Smile Company's astonishing new Colossal Titan polystone statue, and we simultaneously cooed over the detail while ruminating over the surely epic price tag. Well, now pre-orders have begun, and the damage is available for all to see. So, deep breath. Wonderful Hobby Selection Colossal Titan will cost...
Yes, that number of zeroes is entirely correct. You'll be paying about seven hundred US dollars for the privilege of owning Mr Titan here. On the plus side, you'll be getting something truly rare, since GSC is limiting this run to a mere 500 copies worldwide. The much feared shipping cost is waived too, since hilariously he still falls under the GSC Online Shop's blanket ¥2,000 EMS shipping cost. Pre-orders are open now if you have way way WAY more money than sense. I'm really glad something this insane exists, but short of extravagant lottery win I don't think I'll be partaking myself.
