The Matty Sale that Tomopop forgot
Matty Collector's August sale starts in... well, it started yesterday. However, you didn't miss much since the only item to sell out so far has been Faker and he probably went during Early Access.
The sale consists of two Club Etheria figures (Madame Razz (with Broom) and Flutterina) and one Club Eternia (NA Skeletor) along with a new MOTU Minis set and a lot of older product. Faker was notably featured in the sale because the New Adventures "Intergalactic" Skeletor (who, by the way, is based on the original toy rather than his cartoon counterpart) comes with an alternate head for the He-Man impostor.
The sale notably includes the MOTU Minis bundles, one for the initial three releases and another for the remaining three this year. If you're planning on getting the whole set, this is as good of a deal as you're going to get (well, except maybe for Black Friday/Cyber Monday...). Otherwise you have another chance to pick up the DCU Huntress, DCU Ocean Master, MOTUC Castaspella, and the MOTU Minis Mini Faker vs Mini Man-at-Arms set (meaning the Faker re-release was doubly well-timed).
While I remain a fan of the New Adventures of He-Man continuity, Intergalactic Skeletor is probably one I can skip since, as previously noted, he's based more on the toy hence why he looks evil rather than goofy. Otherwise, the general outfit captures the look of the first NA Skeletor costume... but, you know, the head really completes that look. It's possible that I may still buy one, though. Madame Razz is probably the headliner in this sale, though, as -- if memory serves -- it's the character's first figure and it's a newly tooled body. I'm not a She-Ra: Princess of Power fan but even I'm a little tempted by this one.
At any rate, the sale will run for the usual week or so but there's probably no hurry.

Fat Chocobo plush waddles into pre-orders
The time has finally arrived. After whetting our palate with a preview in May, Square Enix's Fat Chocobo plush is up for pre-order. And with that pre-order listing, comes more information on our chubby, feathered friend. The plush measures 270-millimeters wide and 430-millimeters high. It'll ship in September 2014 for the price of ¥6,800.
Even though, all things considered, the wait isn't that long, I am already dying to snuggle with up with a Fat Chocobo of my own. For those feeling the same way, Square Enix has kindly provided photos of the cutie to tide us over. Check them out in the gallery!

BATMAN FANS Get Serious in Romagnolo, Italy!!
One of the things I love about doing the Bat-Blog is that sometimes I get the chance to meet other Batman Fans from all over the world. I mean, not just the USA, but other countries too. Well, here are some major Bat-Fans from Italy!
Now, I'm not even gonna try to get all their names correct. I don't speak/understand the Italian language and I'm worried about spelling their names correctly. But the pictures should speak for themselves and they're also a lot of fun!
It looks like these people are a group of Cosplayers who enjoy being Batman characters. We have Batman, Catwoman, and the Joker as a few examples. They were even in their local newspaper! It also looks like they have a Custom Batmobile, Bat-Scooter, and even a real-life BAT-CAT!
