Max Factory's Mikuzukin goes up for pre-order
The lovely Mikuzukin figure from Max Factory is up for pre-orders, merrily skipping along with a wolf on her head. I have a feeling this Miku design will be pretty popular. If you haven't already, you can check out the preview galleries of her to see what you're getting into. This is Max Factory we're talking about, so more likely than not this figure will be a winner.
Mikuzukin is available from Good Smile Company directly and their partner shops. She's set for a January 2015 release at ¥12,800.

your next dollhouse might not be a house
Birdie has suddenly shown renewed interest in her dollhouse – and she’s been asking lots of questions about my old dollhouse too! It’s currently waiting for her at my parents house under a big tarp. She’s never seen it, and it’s been so long since I’ve seen it, I’m kind of curious to see what crazy […]

Kahotan's newest preview is Racing Miku Sepang ver.
Kahotan's newest preview happens to be a face we've seen before: FREEing's Racing Miku Sepang version. There aren't a ton of revelations in her preview, but we do get at least a nice shot of her torso, showing off some of the additional sculptwork done there (even though she's as skinny as all the other Mikus are). I also noticed the slight light blue shading on some of the translucent parts, which is a bit harder to see from the wider angle shots.
Just as a reminder, you can pre-order her both from the usual shops and from Good Smile's storefront. She's coming in January for ¥11,800. Anyone already got her pre-ordered?

Toys "R" Us to receive colorful versions of DST's Select Sin City figures
Diamond Select Toys' Select Sin City figures series 1 -- which features black & white versions of Hartigan, Marv, and Nancy true to the style of the film (and graphic novels) -- are currently showing up comic book stores, but for fans who want something a little less drab (and less accurate), Toys "R" Us will be carrying color versions of Hartigan and Marv.
Given that the original film and Frank Miller's comic series was strictly in black and white (the Yellow Bastard being one exception), I'm not sure how these colors were chosen but they work wonderfully; the choice so natural that they look as if they had always been the colors. As such, it's a really neat set for fans either not liking the original deco or who might want a separate set as well. Truth be told, (and I feel a little bad for saying it) I think I might prefer these versions to the black & white especially because they seem to draw out the details a little better.
