Yonomori Kobeni Beach Queens Premium Polystone Figure by WAVE
WAVE is releasing the Yonomori Kobeni Beach Queens Premium Polystone figure in January 2015. Based on the manga and anime series “Mikakunin de Shinkoukei”, the Yonomori Kobeni figure stands around 16cm tall and is part of their Treasure Figure Beach Queens collection. It retails for ¥10,000 and is a Be-J store exclusive.

Bandai is releasing functional Sailor Moon transformation wands
By now, we’ve seen pretty much everything Bandai could make from Sailor Moon. So that’s why it’s been a long time since I’ve been excited about any new Sailor Moon releases. Well, now it’s returned!
They’re finally making the Sailor Scouts transformation wands and Sailor Moon’s disguise pen. The best part is they’re all real functioning pens. This means I can buy them and call then school supplies!
These wands are all ballpoint pens that write in black ink and measure close to seven inches tall. Unfortunately, you can only order these as a box set and not get them individually which is why it will cost ¥6,480. I just want one, and I don’t want to pay about US$65 for pens even if it looks amazing.
These will be released in November, and you can find more ordering information on the Premium Bandai website.

[Update] Japanese 7-Eleven stores give away two giant Evangelion prizes

Ever wonder what it would look like if NERV was funded by a major international convenient store chain? Probably not, but you're going to find out. 7-Eleven in Japan is working with the Evangelion franchise to produce giant two meter tall Unit 01 figures colored in 7-Eleven green, orange, and red. Best part is fans (only in Japan) don't even have to walk into a store to score one of the two up for grabs. One will be given away to a random person who visits 7-Eleven's Japanese Twitter account and retweets the announcement. The other one simply requires liking their Japanese Facebook page. The giveaway only runs from now to August 11 so fans will want to act fast.
Sounds painless, but if you're a glutton for punishment you could always buy one. 7-Eleven is taking orders until August 31 for anyone crazy dedicated enough to drop ¥1,700,000 (a little more than US$16,600) on their choice of either 7-Eleven colors or normal purple. On the brightside the delivery guy will also put it together, though apparently they want a lot of space to work so I have to wonder if they'd work outdoors.
I certainly wouldn't be against winning one (if I was eligible), but I don't know if there's any character I would pay as much as a car to own a figure of.

The official ArtStrom site has been updated with new full color images and release details for their Unicron Head release. This character has been tossed around as a figure quite a few times and they never seem to hit the mark. While this is just the head, it looks and feels like the G1 Unicron we all know and hate. The release slated for December 2014 will be selling for 29,800 JPY / $290 USD. Features an interesting cut-away mode that gives a look under Unicron's hood, so to speak.
