Showtime’s newest hit show, Penny Dreadful, will be getting some exclusive figures thanks to Entertainment Earth. The show is a mix of horror and drama, I’m not entirely sure what it’s about. I do know there’s vampires, werewolves, and literary characters like Dr. Frankenstein and Dorian Gray.

People seem to really like it. So Bif Bang Pow! partnered with EMCE Toys will release eight inch action figures from the show. They will have multiple points of articulation, fabric clothing, and have a retro style like the classic Mego action figures.

So far there will be two figures released. The first shown is a figure of Vanessa Ives. There will also be a figure of Ethan Chandler. You can pre-order Vanessa now for US$29.99, but these will first be sold at SDCC. If there are figures still remaining after the convention, then these will be shipped.

If you want to get one of these Penny Dreadful figures, then stop by Entertainment Earth’s SDCC booth #2343.

Here's one of those cool "Infographic" images made to inadvertently advertise a company by using the popularity of a character or brand. They know because people love "Batman" it will get attention, it will get shared like crazy, and then they're like, "Oh my goodness... is our URL on the bottom of this graphic???" hee hee! OK, now that I have vented my bitterness about "modern uses of propaganda" let's just enjoy the graphic. It's pretty cool! It shows the evolution of the Batman Chest Emblem over the years and the artwork is really nice, very crisp & clean-looking.
