Transformers fans are going to have a lot to look forward to this year, as they should, it’s the Transformers brand’s 30th Anniversary. With the announcement of this Transformers KRE-O Class of 1984 Kreon 30-pack from Hasbro, fans are now going to have three exclusive sets to get the hands on at this year’s San […]

This past Monkey Monday NECA revealed their final packaging for their Classic Planet of The Apes figures (well Dr. Cornelius). As you can see that it’s in the style of Hasbro’s Star Wars Black Series figures. I must say it suits the figures completely, with a color coordinated packaging using the same color of the […]
In a relatively short space of time, FREEing have established themselves as a solid middle ground manufacturer of figures. They may not be able to match the big boys like Alter, Kotobukiya or their parent, GoodSmile Company, but they have shown the ability to punch above their weight on previous occasions.
Unfortunately, one thing they do lack is consistency. While some of their releases are solid entries, we've also had a fair few duds from them as well. Ones which come to mind are their Blazblue releases. They have already released figures for Rachel Alucard and Makoto Nanaya and they were... how should we say, poor. Rachel came off as emotionless rather than melancholic and as for Makoto... I'll let our Tomopop review spell things out for you.
Then FREEing decided to step into the fray once more for a third release from the Blazblue series and they decided to hit a bit close to home for this reviewer by choosing μ-12 as the subject. Will it suck like the previous releases, or might they actually get it right on the third try? Only one way to find out...
Time is flying, and it’s hard to believe that next weekend is already the Fourth of July. For many families, this means barbecues, friends and family, music, and to top it all off, a spectacular fireworks display. Many Fourth of Julys from my childhood were spent at the beach or someone’s pool, and the days [...]
Our sibling site, Flixist, currently has a contest going for some Transformers: Age of Extinction collectibles. Two winners will receive a Transformers figure (one will win an Optimus Prime, the other will get a Crosshairs) and a hat. All you have to do to enter is go to leave a comment about your favorite memory of a Transformers toy on the contest story. It should literally take you two seconds, so what are you waiting for?

Fitch Ratings has downgraded the issue ratings on Toys 'R' Us, Inc.'s $450 million 10.375% senior unsecured notes due August 2017 and $400 million 7.375% senior unsecured notes due October 2018 to 'CCC-/RR5' from 'CCC/RR4'.
Yep, we've got Age of Extinction Third Party toys already! Meteor Operation reveals that Dr. Wu is planning an accessory for Age of Extinction Optimus Prime- a more film-accurate Sword of Judgment that looks really good! Keep reading for all the mirrored images!
With new licensed building toys from K’Nex, fans of Plants vs. Zombies can now build and play with the characters from the game. The partnership between K’Nex and PopCap Games Inc. combines K’Nex building systems with the digital franchise for the first time ever. Along with the first series of Mystery Figure Bags, the Plants [...]
Yozakura Quartet has had a pretty stellar reputation in the manga world for quite some time, and the recent Hana no Uta anime adaptation charmed the socks off of me, so I'm pretty pleased to see Kotobukiya step up to deliver a new figure of the show's resident catgirl Ao Nanami.
It's a school swimsuit figure, because of course it is. Still, the choice of white rather than navy blue makes Ao stand out, and it's a pretty weird and unique pose. The fact she's actually holding her dress in front of her shouldn't really work but somehow does, and I love the askew mop and the big flying scarf (which can be removed). The slipping shoulder strap is a nice detail that you may or may not care for depending on your tastes.
Disregarding all that, it's a cute, sharply made figure that captures its subject well. The quality is bound to be pretty high with Kotobukiya in the driving seat too. Ao will cost a cool ¥9,800, with deliveries due in October. Hit the links below if you're game for a pre-order.
With Kidrobot releasing The Art of War Dunny Series - a 14 artist blind-box line - Mindzai has announced details for their Dunny Trading Party. They'll be releasing The Art of War Dunny series on Friday, June 27th 2014 at Noon ET in store and 2PM ET online. The trading party will take place on […]
Our very own JayC has posted an early review of the Transformers Age of Extinction movie from a per-screening held last night. We don't want to drop any spoilers here, but as you can expect it was what we can expect from a Micheal Bay film. That is good news for some, bad news for others. If you are interested in reading the full details on the forth release in the Transformers movie franchise, read the review now at enewsi.com
Diamond Select Toys is preparing for an action-packed July with a slew of movie, comic, and cartoon-related collectibles to appear in the month's Previews magazine. Highlights include a NEW Femme Fatales Lady Death statue (US$45, not to be confused with the previously reviewed Femme Fatales Lady Death II), a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Minimates Blind Bag Series 1 Asst. (US$6 each), a totally wicked Walking Dead letter opener set (US$90), and more.
Personally I'm most excited about a reissue of DST's Marvel Select Uatu the Watcher. First released in 2005, he's one of those character who you'd never see other companies tackle and, as such, the original figure can be pretty expensive via the secondary market so it's a somewhat overdue second chance.
Be sure to check out the rest of the offerings, many of which are available for pre-order, in the press release or see their photos in the gallery.
Convention season is almost upon us and there are things going on all over.
Kingdom Doll announced that they will be working with renowned doll artist/manufacturer Doug James. They're not saying what Doug will be doing exactly and that will be an interesting revelation. Fashions, perhaps? KD states that "Doug is the owner of JDJ International, creator of the "S: series of resin fashion dolls as well as the popular CED 19" fashion doll line. In addition, James has designed...for the Madame Alexander Doll Company, Integrity Toys, L.L. Knickerbocker and Ashton Drake."
Also, stay tuned for the announcement about the release of the next doll, Hadrian.
Integrity Toys 2014 "Gloss" Convention sold out in two days. That's probably a record setting sell- out. There is a wait list. Link will take you there.
The second W Club exclusive doll was made available for pre-ordering by Club members only. She is the ultra popular Poppy with the favored so-called "Bergdorf" screening. (Right)
Why not release a redo of the Bergdorf doll? I have seen ridiculous prices for this gal. I sold a few for ridiculous prices myself. It is a very pretty doll.
Tonner Doll Company continues to try to offload unsold goods at retail prices by calling them Warehouse Finds. Seriously, how messed up is their warehouse?
If these items were sold out, there wouldn't be any for sale. We do have brains.
Lady Arabella was the convention souvenir. Carmen was the special optional purchase doll. None of these is at a reduced price but if you still want one, go for it. Ordering is by telephone only. To place an order call 845-339-2960.
I've written many times about how selling convention dolls shortly after a convention detracts from that special feeling of getting a truly exclusive doll. It's disrespectful to those who paid to go to the convention.
The Junky Spot announced Jun Planning's Groove Pullip "Make It Own" blank Pullip Kit.
This looks like fun and the price is so right at $34.99. I want one but do I have the motivation? Not really.
Made from ABS plastic.
Completely unpainted doll with disassembled head, ready for customization.
Comes with: body, head, eyelids, eyelashes, transparent eye chips, and screws.
You can paint the eye chips whatever color you want.
Takes a size 9-10 wig (not included)
By Stuart Fischer When one thinks of the comic book character Archie, one envisions a bright-eyed teenager who has a constant smile on his face, as if he does not have a care in the world. That might be true of this wonderful fictional character, but the company behind him is a hard-working, innovative force: [...]
Huck Gee has just created a run of these amazing 13.5” tall custom figures, that go by Fletcher the Grifling. Everything shown above comes included, accessories, weapons, and wings! These are limited to only 10 pieces at $950 a figure and come in a laser etched wooden box. Send your...
