Is Mattel's next San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Cerise Wolf?
At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Mattel is not only bringing Monster High exclusive dolls but an exclusive Ever After High doll as well. A teaser image of the Ever After High figure popped up on Instagram yesterday and fans have already decoded the character and made a solid guess on the outfit. The mention of the character's "big bad" shoes hints towards Cerise Wolf, daughter of Red Riding Hood, being the exclusive doll. More will certainly be revealed in the days leading up to SDCC. Tomopop Review: Pulchra's Noire
With the figure making market pretty much established and the big players set up, perhaps it's time for smaller companies to step up and shake the boat a little.
We've seen some companies take a stab at making new figures for a while now. Amiami are just about gearing up for their first release in the shape of Shinonono Houki from Infinite Stratos and companies like Phat Company, Wing and FREEing are now standing firm after being relative newcomers to the figure markets. Now is the time to pass the baton and give another batch of new companies a chance to enter the ring.
One of these newcomers is Pulchra. A very new company which only started trading late last year. Their first releases were little smartphone holders, but they've now moved over to full figure releases and one of their first is Noire from Hyperdimension Neptunia. Is she any good? erm...
