Check out this show flyer for SubUrban Vinyl's Blood Type Positive show, launching June 21st - featuring customs by a variety of select artists done on the Vampire Droplet resin figure designed by NEMO (and casted pup by TaskOne).

TOYSREVIL is honored to be part of this splendid line-up, especially this is my first group show I'm directly involved in since my Stroke circa end-2010! Appreciate the opportunity, guys!

Now, time to work … ;p

In a move sure to elicit a groan or two,  Hidemi Matsuzuka unveiled two images of an unpainted Play Arts Kai Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Tifa. These photos come hot on the heels of a newly revealed PAK FFXII Fran where some readers have already drawn a comparison.

Now there are obviously three causes for dissent: firstly, anything Final Fantasy VII is vastly overrepresented in Square-Enix's line. Second, Tifa herself has received several figures in the past while other characters (including main cast members!) have been overlooked. Third, and perhaps most importantly, Advent Children Tifa ALREADY HAD a figure in the Play Arts line. Yes, I can understand the need for updated versions of these figures but can we at *least* hit the guys who haven't been produced already?

So far we've seen AC Yuffie, Vincent, and Red XIII (among others) get a revamp while others still haven't even gotten a vamp (bad pun). Granted, the new mold does look nice (and SE *did* give us a new character in the form of Rufus), but I assume I'm not alone in wanting Square-Enix to *finally* provide fans with a... Professor Hojo. Yeah, I know what the people want.

In Square-Enix's defense, the company seems to be pairing new things with proven moneymakers which might be what's needed for business. Plus the fact that FFXII was getting some new exposure is great news for the overlooked games and, as such, I really hope that we'll someday see a PAK Cecil Harvey (FFIV / Dissidia) or, less likely, a PAK Agrias Oakes.

PAK Advent Children Tifa probably isn't the best follow-up to Fran screenshot

Prize figures, when I started collecting, weren't things you'd go out of your way to get. They were too small, not very detailed, and had dodgy quality. Over time, all three of those aspects gradually improved to the point where they might hold up to more expensive PVC figures.

I decided to check out Sega's Rei Ayanami PM Figure to see the state of prize figures right now. I'm also desperate for any reasonably priced Evangelion figures, as the latest movie hasn't garnered as much attention from figure makers as I'd hoped. If you can't afford the RAHs out there, maybe this review can help you decide on going the prize figure route.

Here's a quick post to share this fun piece of Bat-History. Here's a photo from the 1930's showing a future Actress who we all know as "Catwoman". Yes, the little girl shown here posing with her Grandmother is none other than Julie Newmar. Hey, she kinda reminds me of Shirley Temple, ha!

CATWOMAN DAY: Here's a recent photo of Adam West (Batman) and Julie Newmar that was shot during the filming of a brand-new TV commercial for the United States Postal Service. We're not sure when this will be coming out but stay tuned to the BAT-BLOG and once we know then it will be posted. I heard that the general theme of the story is that "they are on a date and ordering dessert".

OK, Here at the BAT-BLOG we decided to get kinda wacky and declare that today is CATWOMAN DAY! For this wonderful event we're gonna focus on one of the very best "Catwoman" actresses out there, Julie Newmar!

As you know, there's a toy company called MOEBIUS MODELS and all this year they will be releasing plastic model kits based on characters from the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series. I've seen the "Batman" one and it really shares a great likeness of Adam West.

Well, here is what the CATWOMAN Model Kit is gonna look like! In fact, this is the Original Artwork for the Model Kit's Box Packaging. This image will appear on the front lid. Now, we're really excited about this news but the real main thing we're really proud of is the fact that this special art was created by our good friend and all-time great Bat-Blog contributor, Christopher Franchi!

Yes, you have heard his name around here before. He is a Graphic Designer/Artist  working in Detroit and he also designed the special "header" at the top of this website. Anyways, he totally painted this and it's completely amazing! This is gonna look great as a consumer product, that's for sure.
