After some delay, Matty Collector reveals THREE new SDCC exclusives

If you're anything like me, you've probably been wondering what Matty Collector had up its sleeve. While showing off an exclusive Hordak and the SDCC-exclusive Doomsday, Matty Collector announced that there would be two more reveals: one on the fifth (which turned out to be the Monster High Manny Taur pack) and another on the thirteenth... which was a no-show. Nothing happened on the next day either but on the third day Matty Collector revealed THREE exclusives: a Total Heroes Cyborg, a Multiverse Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile, and a Disney•Pixar Cars 2014 Special Edition Neon Racers Gift Pack.

The Total Heroes Cyborg had me a little confused at first glance, as Matty Collector had announced that it would be doing four figures as quarterly online-exclusives (the more expensive Matty Collector editions feature characters usually not found at retail and includes things like alternate heads). However, I'm guessing this figure doesn't affect that count (unless they're doing a non-chrome version later on or something). The SDCC-exclusive Cyborg features a shiny, silver deco as an homage to the original DC Super Powers figure and will include two interchangeable heads (classic and a stylized modern version) and three sets of hands in addition to a Mega Blade, a Concussion Cannon, and a Sonic Scrambler arm attachments AND a jetpack with airfoil wings. At US$25 he's pricier than even the other Matty-exclusive Total Hero figures but the accessories might justify it.

The first wave of Mattel's DC Multiverse line has been available at retail for a while now but, despite the first wave including two different Batman figures, there has yet to be a Batmobile. Matty Collector has stepped in with a US$85 vehicle pack (featuring a Batman figure) featuring the Batmobile as it appears in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight. The SDCC exclusive Batmobile will feature lights, sounds, and a few other gimmicks which might appeal more to kids than collectors.

The final item is a Cars box set featuring Lightning McQueen and Shu Todoroki. The box itself is apparently as much a collector item (if not more) than the cars inside, as it features a light-up function, character art, and the such. Apparently it even sports some specially-designed Japanese wrapping cloth. The gift pack will be available for US$50. Having never seen Cars, I'm curious as to how popular the film must have been to continually get new merchandise like this.

Given the reveals so far, I'm wondering if Matty Collector has shown off all the exclusives to be sold at the show. The bottom of the press release promises, "More to come", so we may even see another item or two.

DC Collectibles unveils FIVE of its DCAU Batman: The Animated series figures

After months of teasing and slow reveals, DC Collectibles has decided to give MTV News an exclusive first look at five figures in the DCAU Batman: The Animated Series line including a painted Mr. Freeze and Two-Face.

The other three figures are Joker, Robin, and New Adventures Poison Ivy. Add that to the previously shown Catwoman and New Adventures Batman and we have seven figures so far. As such, the line is expanding pretty quickly! Two figures from this batch (Freeze and Two-Face?) will appear in wave one (presumably alongside Catwoman and Batman) while the other three are slated to release in December.

If that wasn't enough (and it is, trust me...), MTV News also reports that DC Collectibles has ANOTHER reveal slated for today (Friday). Maybe it's Harley Quinn...
