Do you have some extra LEGO pieces just lying around in a bin? Great. Now you can eat up some time during your day and make all five members of The Simpsons's household! Bricksmith extraordinaire Nightly News at Nine takes roughly 27 minutes and uses some fairly common supplies to make the main cast, though some more exotic pieces can be located via the description in the Youtube video.

I love the work that Nightly News at Nine did on these guys. On top of that, there are a bunch of additional videos showing you how to make other popular characters from TV shows, movies, games, etc. Be sure to check them out!

Tomopop Review: Dooodolls' Third Eye

The Dooodolls display at C2E2 was lively thanks to their mascot character drawing a lot of attention. They certainly got my attention, as I hadn't previously heard of the company. The distributor's representative, Lexi Stauring, was kind enough to talk me through the product lineup and even gave me a plush to take home!

Now that I've had a chance to play around with and photograph Third Eye, I'm feeling pretty good about Dooodolls' offerings. Read on for my full impressions.

New BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES and THE RIDDLER LOGO Tattoo Art Photos

Here's a nice set of pics submitted to the Bat-Blog by some good friends from around the world. The first one is a Batman-related tattoo that gets 2 thumbs up from me because I totally love the  old TV cartoon, "Batman: The Animated Series". It's just nice to see this logo again. This is our friend named "Speck", and he's AWESOME!

Then, speaking of "logos", check out this new bat-tat from our friend Erik who recently got some ink done in the style of the "Question Mark" Logo of the Riddler. The coloring is very well done. Plus, it's nice to see this character getting some love.

Thanks to everybody who sent pics and if anyone else here comes across some cool new Batman toys, or gets a tattoo, please let us know.

Pop!formers: Robots in relatively adorable disguise

Funko has released some official images of its upcoming Pop! Transfomers: Age of Extinction figures. Fans may recall seeing Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in the Toy Fair coverage, but Drift (who appeared as a silhouette) is new.

While I'm naturally disappointed by a lack of Starscream (who presumably didn't make it into the latest Transformers film on account of being dead), the three Pop! Transformers that aren't everybody's favorite Seeker all look good. I suppose the only drawback is that they look less distinctively Pop! than other offerings, but they still have the button eyes and should blend well into a Pop! collection.

Transfomers: Age of Extinction will appear in theaters on June 27th (and should be better than the previous films because Shia LaBeouf is *finally* gone... he's probably off to ruin the new He-Man movie or something), but Funko's Pop! Transformers figures should be hitting shelves this month. Meanwhile I'll be trying to forget a bit of information I learned from Toy Fair which might be a spoiler.

My dolls pose for Porter magazine covers

Most people interested in fashion are well aware of one of the biggest on-line fashion retailers, Net-A-Porter. They should also know that the company now has its own fashion magazine, called, what else, Porter. For its launch, back in February, the magazine also launched a mobile app, asking fans to post their own photo as the cover of the magazine. All one has to do is pick the photo - the app does the rest so that you have a ready made Porter cover, with its own cover lines etc. You can also pick the colour of the logo and letters (black or white only). For the second issue, they updated the app to feature a series of Philip Treacy hats worn by Lady Gaga (she was the original cover's model). Of course, the main point was advertising the magazine: the app helped people share their covers throughout most social media platforms and encouraged the use of specific hashtags to make them more prominent. I instantly figured out that my dolls would be perfect models for this endeavour so here are the results. I am proud to say that the fashion director of L'Officiel Hommes Italia, Emile Rebek, liked the three Gaga ones (the first three below - thank you sir!).
