C2E2 2014: Shawnimals
Need a plush fix from C2E2? Well, Chicago's own Shawnimals was of course on the show floor with a bunch of old favorites and one new plush: the Happy Sherpa. A collaboration with the folks at Basecamp, and designed after their logo, the Happy Sherpa is a little bit of mountain but is not guaranteed to safely lead you through the Himalayas. In fact, I'm pretty sure it doesn't even have GPS.
But plush isn't all that you could find in Shawn's booth. Alongside a special Chicago Dumpling (styled after a Chicago hot dog and its fixings) was a collaboration with Ben Spencer, the Shadow Galaxxor. The shadow part of the name hints that the figure is a dark, black-and-purple colorway meant to evoke the look of a stereotypical ninja. Trying to hide among the plush ninjas, I'd assume!
