Kotobukiya enters your nightmares with Bishoujo Freddy
Kotobukiya has brought us the stuff of nightmares. In some dystopian alternate reality where the Undertaker loses a match at Wrestlemania, Freddy Krueger is now the subject of Kotobukiya's Bishoujo line of pretty girls in equally as revealing outfits. Now after months of teasing and a recent preview, we're getting the full gallery.
Given the subject of girl cosplaying Freddy for a Halloween Costume, Kotobukiya's done a good job here. The trademark fedora and hideous sweater combine to let you know this is a Freddy, even though she's a pretty gal. The pants have been cut into barely there shorts of the prestigious and high-end Freddy v. Jason line, which is of course a designer brand.
This is a great looking figure, but I'm still not liking it. Granted, it does do all of the things that people love from Koto in their Bishoujo figures, the subject doesn't appeal to me at all. I will say it is at least a great sculpting job and piece, but I can't get behind a nightmare being dressed up like this.
There's no pricing info just yet, but I imagine we'll find out more as we approach its release date later this year in October. Besides, this could just be a nightmare. I'm only dreaming that this exists and the Undertaker lost.

#animalkingdomapril: for Sketchery Month of April on Instagram
#animalkingdomapril = factual or fictitious; an animal sketch a day, for the month of April, on Instagram. Inspired by Dacosta's #marchofrobots daily drawing of robots for the month of March, I'd decided to start this (Purely for the fun of sketchery, of course :p), with drawing something I am wholly bad at: "animals" lol … but of course, I've been taking "liberties" thus far … Starting off with my #metalhead series, so far tis just me (no delusions of grandeur, I insist! I really enjoy the "practice" tho ;p) … and I've just started on a #ComicAnimals theme … Join me? :)?

Check out more of his #marchofrobots on his IG @stevetalkowski, and head-on to his Behance to view rendered robots!
#marchofrobots is an initiative by Dacosta! who currently has Kickstarter to fund the production of his book, which will also include Steve's work! KS-deadline ends April 15th, 2014.

TMNT, Guardians of the Galaxy get official LEGO sets
Whatever your stance may be on the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it's hard to look at these upcoming LEGO sets and not crack a smile. There are three sets here, covering one playset and two vehicles. I'm particularly digging that Turtle Van. I might have to snatch that one up when it comes out. Worst case scenario, I can recreate scenes from the old movie with these pretty sets.
Not to be outdone by mere mutated reptiles, several Guardians of the Galaxy sets also popped up online. Besides photos of the playset and two vehicles, we also got pics of several characters from the flick in LEGO form. I love how smarmy LEGO Star-Lord looks and Gamorra is looking pretty wicked with that sword of hers. I'm kind of licking the character LEGO more than the sets themselves.
What do ya'll think of these sets? Personally, I'm trying to not read too much into them so I can stay fresh on both flicks. Yeah, even TMNT. I don't necessarily expect to see it in theaters, but I never know. There may be a night where I get unexpectedly hammered and decide to stagger into a showing. Who knows?

Whenever I need a dose of pretty for kids, I know I can count on My Sweet Muffin. For instance, she’s stocked up on some adorable new toys by Moulin Roty. I always love Moulin Roty’s peculiar sensibilities – the new line includes donkeys, and a cabbage activity toy. Isn’t that awesome? Because aren’t we […]
