Images for 3 x LEGO Movie Sets for "The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" live-action film has been revealed online via Eurobricks, which may or may not reveal what stories or scenes the movie may hold, but there is an image of the Turtle's master SPLINTER though, and he/it is yet to be unveiled! The conceit of enlarged Turtles is one thing, but in this re-imagining, would a giant mutated "rat" fit into the scheme of things?

Let's not beat around the proverbial bush; I was dying to have Hashtag Collectibles' Blobfish plush in my life. I posted about it when ThinkGeek first listed it. It was my DO WANT choice for March. When I went to sleep, little baby blobfishes escorted me off to dreamland. Okay, maybe not the last one but you get the point; I badly wanted a blobfish plush. And thanks to the press relations fairies over at ThinkGeek, one of them found its way to my home.

Let's take a look at this squishy fellow, shall we?

Images for LEGO adaptations of MARVEL's upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie has been "revealed" online via Brick Heroes (by way of Eurobricks), which gives us a "first look" at LEGO Groot and Rocket Raccoon, and an unmasked Star Lord.

Check out Comicbook Movie for a SPOILER-riffic description of the different locales / set designs for the movie, which helps explain these sets as well.

    76019 Starblaster Showdown
(including minifigs Star-Lord, Nova Officer and a Sakaaran Soldier)

    76020 Knowhere Escape Mission
(including minifigs Rocket Raccoon, Sakaaran Soldier, Nebula and Groot)
KNOWHERE: "serves as a “port of call and observatory for intergalactic travelers of all species and from all times, located inside the decapitated head of a Celestial, on the edge of the universe. Knowhere is evocative of an industrial mining town and is where The Collector has his museum.” (via CBM)

    76021 The Milano Spaceship Rescue
(including minifigs Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Ronan and Sakaaran Soldier)

I've previously posted product-pics from "The Milano Spaceship Rescue", as it was the first LEGO set "revealed" online.

Rachel Hell Haus of Dolls has produced some female versions of Batman's more popular rogues in a series of Monster High doll customs entitled "Daughters of DC villains" which, among other things, includes a "Ms." Freeze, female Joker (not Duela Dent, the Joker's alleged daughter), and a female Scarecrow, among others. Batman's female villains (Ivy, Harley, and Catwoman specifically) also received "daughters" although those are obviously less zany.

Some of the designs (like Freeze) came out looking great while others might be hard to figure out within the context (such as a far too thin, too tall Penguin's daughter who is only recognizable for the umbrella). Scarecrow's daughter ("Scarecrowette"?) notably features a masked and unmasked look. Without that mask, her most identifying characteristic would be the syringe-tipped glove that the Scarecrow wore in Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Although the concept is a little out there, the customs look neat. My favorites are probably Scarecrow, Freeze, and Joker. How about you?

There's been a number of Transformers Playing Cards packs released over the years. Fans who missed out can get what looks to be the snazziest looking Generation 1 themed set yet from Aquarius Posters. The full color cards are beautifully adorned with actual G1 box art from the classic toys. Only Ratchet and Megatron are shown, but we can assume there's more than meets the hand judging from the many robots shown on the box cover.
