it takes two of a kind
It’s “Spring Break” over here – even though we’re staring at 2-3 feet of snow outside our window. So it’s 5 days of Birdie and I, like two peas in a pod. Hanging out together, making art together, and being silly. At least, that’s the hope. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll stay as […]

"Rust" and "Marty" by Nagy Norbert Print Release from Bottleneck Gallery
To celebrate the season of "True Detective", Bottleneck Gallery has released "Rust" and "Marty" by Romanian-artist Nagy Norbert, with each Giclee print sized 13 x 19 inches, and is numbered out of an edition of 75, priced at US$35 each. There will also be a matching numbered set edition that will cost US$65. Purchase via www.bottleneckgallery.com.
I've not had the pleasure of watching this new series everyone seems to be going on about (not as much as "Breaking Bad" has tho) but I reckon this might please the fans.
Interestingly there is yet another painted image / "fan art" of "Rust" with a different background, found on his Facebook page … would be interesting if this was a "chase" edition, maybe? Absolute unfounded speculation on my part, of course :)
Chris Ryniak opening up his own store
Those of us who have been fans of Chris Ryniak have been used to hopping from storefront to storefront to pick up his wares, but that's about to change. Chris is in the process of preparing his own online store for a grand opening, as he's posted on his Tumblr.
By the looks of the teaser image, it'll be a one-stop shop for Chris' artwork and figures (or at least a good chunk of them), and it appears at least Bugbite (shown off at DesignerCon 2013) will be available for the opening. We'll keep you in the loop on when the store opens, and just what things Chris will have in stock!

Kaiju USB: GODAI Guardians on Kickstarter
4 Cute, Collectable Kaiju USB Toy Figurines that "Defend Planet Earth from Invading Monsters," can be had if this Kickstarter reaches their goal of US$25K (by April 2.2014). Shown above is the Godai "CHI", representing the "Earth" element.
"Kaiju USB: GODAI Guardians" features a quartet of kaiju-creations developed to be 3-dimensional shaped forms which double up as USB-devices, the background story of whichcn be red at the Kickstarter-link, along with features of swell commissioned artwork from artists depicting the four creatures ("Guardians") representing earth, water, fire, wind, and the 5th being the "Overseer".
"In this story, the Kaiju from earth are simply misunderstood. They want to protect life on Earth, not destroy it. We think this is an interesting take on the whole Kaiju genre in that we see them more as massive elemental protectors, rather than traditional invaders."
(Cheers for the headsup Corey)
