DCC to use Concept A for upcoming DC Bombshell Mera
The results are in: the winning Mera design is Concept A. DC Collectibles announced that Concept A beat C by a scant 34 votes but, in the immortal words of Vin Diesel, "It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning."
Concept A features Mera in somewhat generic beach clothing with an over-sized sunhat. DC Collectibles intends to use this design for the first edition of the statue but, in a surprise twist, the company has announced that if the first run sells out they'll produce a second run that makes use of Concept C's design (meaning that the only loser in this poll is the Tomopop-favorite Concept B).
The final tally was more than a little pathetic, as under 4,000 votes were actually cast. Concept A won with 1,371 votes, Concept C placed second with 1,337 votes, and Concept B trailed far behind with only 822 votes. All things considered, it was a fairly disappointing poll.

MegaHouse takes a shot at Tieria Erde
Gundam 00's Tieria Erde will be getting a figure made, thanks to MegaHouse. This version is based on her look in the eighth episode of season two, sporting a maroon dress (and no glasses). The magazine scan shows two hand options: one with a pistol, and one with an open hand.
There's a lot to like about this figure, especially the overall classy look with the dress. I also like the sculpting of her face and hair. Her pose is cool too, but I'd be terrified of the figure breaking off at the foot. Hopefully that joint is heavily reinforced...

No Ark, only guns for Kotobukiya's Kilmaria Aideen
Kotobukiya continues churning out Tony's heroines, this time with a sculpt of Shining Ark's Kilmaria Aideen. I have to say, dresses are in this year. Are you making a figure? Put it in a sweet dress!
Kilmaria looks ready for demon hunting with her two guns. I think the pose could be better, but the sculpt is lovely otherwise. In particular, look at the way the cloth on her dress wraps around her chest. I love it!

Montaigne Market Doll: The Sky's The Limit
This is the fastest and most extreme price inflation I've ever seen in all my years of doll collecting.
Both sellers are Paris based so they have the doll already. Another one of these is listed on the Show and Sell pages right now with a starting price of $1000.
If you didn't catch my prior post, the doll retailed for $206. Shipping to the US is strangely expensive at 50 Euros or $69.12. I suppose there was tax in Paris for those that purchased her directly. At any rate, it would have almost been worth it to fly to Paris, buy a few dolls and resell them.
Looks like I will have to make a decision.
