Mega Man x Kidrobot Mini Figure Series
Kidrobot will be following up their successful Street Fighter line with a Mega Man series. No photos have been revealed yet, but my wild guess is that most of the toys will be a standard Mega Man sculpt with different colorways representing the different power-ups, like the palette swaps in the games.
This is pretty cool since the Munny platform already lends itself well to Mega Man’s design. I think for a lot of kids who grew up in the ’80s and then found out about customizing Munnys, their first idea was to do a Mega Man piece.

Our favorite sneakerhead has just created a tribute to our favorite turtle. Everything about this pair of sneakers is pure genius, especially the use of the swoosh as a reference to Don’s bo staff.
Let's-a go with S.H. Figuarts Super Mario
Bluefin Tamashii Nations has just posted a bunch of pictures from the currently running Nuremburg Toy Fair onto their Facebook page, and contained within is the first look at what they were teasing a little while back. It is indeed an S.H. Figuarts of everybody's favourite turtle-stomping plumber, Mario!
He's on display in an impressive diorama, and Bluefin has also supplied a few advertisement fliers to lets us get a better look at him. I think it's a really great looking take on the icon - they've managed to keep his dumpy, cartoony proportions while integrating all the joints and poseability you'd expect from a Figuarts.
The included flyers also clarify exactly how Mario will be sold. The basic figure will come with a rather bare bones accessory bundle, and then there'll be additional diorama sets you can purchase to produce the elaborate setup seen in the cabinet. We even get prices and release dates - Mario himself will run to ¥2,500 while each diorama set will be ¥2,000 (all prices without tax). All three will be arriving in shops in May. That's a pretty keen price in my eyes. So what do you think readers? Anybody sold on this alone?

1/12-scale SEAMONKEY + SNOWPEA from 3A Toys (Pre-order Jan 30.2014)
SEAMONKEY + SNOWPEA is FINALLY ready for a release (well, at least "available for pre-ordering") January 30th at 9:00am HK Time via www.bambalandstore.com - featuring "Seamonkey" by Kenny Wong and "Snowpea" the pilot by Ashley Wood - all in 1/12th scale, which means the pilot stands approx 6-7 inches, while the diver-carrier towers above 12-14 inches?
Full specs and price point to hopefully be revealed soon. Seeing the trio of pilots shown in the promo image leaves me thinking if there are multiple versions to be had?

Domino Lady 1/6 by Go Hero
Go Hero to do a new 1/6 female figure, in the fine form of DOMINO LADY, who would sultrily stand beautifully alongside their previous 1930's "pulp hero" offerings The Shadow and Doc Savage, methinks! No further product availability details besides these images I found on the Tomenosuke-blog, so do check in with your fav retailers for availability details.
Warning: Baby Cthulhu may induce Kickstarter madness
Humanity beware! A kickstarter campaign for an adorable Baby Cthulhu resin figure starts February 15th.
Designer Cassia Harries needs the funding to hire a professional moldmaker to cast the figurines for production so as to make the creation of the figurines more manageable. The figurines themselves are at least scary cute, if not terrifyingly adorable. Also included in the promotion is a trading card depicting Baby Cthulhu in a bathtub playing around with a toy boat. It's an image that may h-awww-nt your dreams.
The campaign's target is a modest US$3,500. The lowest pledge that includes a figurine will run you US$35, albeit it's an unpainted Do-It-Yourself model. US$100 buys you a hand-painted green Baby Cthulhu (as seen above) and US$125 will get you one of the limited edition colorways. Feeling really crazy? The Rainbow Package which runs US$475 includes the green, all three colorways, a DIY, and the lower promo items (a sticker and card).
While the run-time currently isn't listed, the figurines have an expected July release date should the funding goals be met.

Kidrobot announces Futurama Series 2
We got a little bit of a tip last night that Kidrobot had accidentally leaked their Futurama Series 2 line-up on their shop, but looks like they just jumped the gun a bit as the Kidrobot Blog has posted a preview today. There will be 12 figures in all, each 3 inches tall and stylized in the same fashion as the Series 1 figures.
The one thing they didn't include was an actual list of all the characters in Series 2, which we're happy to do for you right now:
- Amy Wong
- Hermes Conrad (with brain slug)
- Roberto
- Kif Kroker
- Elzar
- Calculon
- The Hyperchicken
- Bender, Fry and Leela's respective superhero alter-egos from the season 4 episode "Less Than Hero": Super King, Captain Yesterday and Clobberella
- Hedonismbot
- And a Robot Mafia member
Expect to see them at kidrobot.com and your local designer collectible shop on Feb. 20, at US$9.99 each.
[Thanks, Sergio!]

First 4 Figures have posted a new teaser on YouTube, featuring the next Sega All Stars Line piece: Virtua Fighter's Akira Yuki. The video shows off the painted sculpt of Akira, saying that he's coming soon and kind of leaving it at that.
No details on when to expect him; we'll let you know when we have more info. In the meanwhile, are you excited about the news, or were you expecting a different character?
