top 6 diy valentines like, ever
I’m cutting myself some slack today. Tomorrow I’ll be leaving for the best design blog conference ever, Alt Summit. Lots of friends, sponsors, information, inspiration, and I’ll be speaking about one of my favorite things: Pinterest. Maybe I’ll see you there! And when I return, we’ll be in the middle of Valentine’s preparations. At least, […]

My Motherhood Journey With My Son
Age 0-5 years are the most important phase in a child’s life and I, as a mother totally enjoyed bringing up my child, who is a 12 yr old boy today. Life felt absolutely exciting right from my pregnancy days.
I would sit hours together reading books, singing rhymes, chanting shlokas, painting and so much more. My husband would wonder why I am doing this. I read a lot of books on pregnancy and parenting, in United Kingdom in Darlington, there they gave us a beautiful book on pregnancy and baby care, which was very helpful.
The baby is always listening to you in the womb; it is a life growing inside you. Post delivery, the first two months I let go and didn't do much, but at the end of the 2nd month I started reading stories to my son, he would listen to it without fussing, I used to talk to him so much, I remember singing tables to him. I also remember doing a puppet show for him and he would push himself to crawl more. At 4-5 yrs he started reading on his own, which was wonderful.
I attended many Mother & child workshops with him in United Kingdom and United States, we would have fun sessions singing, dancing and playing with other kids and mums. The kids would crawl, jump, run, an absolute enjoyable session. I wondered if back home in India I could do something like this. But when I came to India he was already 3 and I didn't need such programs. I wanted to share the joy of motherhood and this inspired me to start a similar program in INDIA and I call it “MOMMYANDMEWITHSU”.
Mommyandmewithsu is a mother and child program, wherein a mother can come with her child and spend some quality time watching and playing with the child. We want every mother to enjoy her precious time with her child. All are working mum’s, therefore are busy whether at home or work, they and seldom find time to sit and narrate a story or even just watch her child explore. 0-2 years is a milestone in every child’s life and we want the mothers to come and explore and have a fun time at Mommyandmewithsu.
In the recent past she was running a preschool for two years. She designs pre-school curriculum and also conducts Training for Preschool Teachers.
Sujata has attended many workshops on Mother and Child in the United States and United Kingdom, that’s where she felt an urge to start a similar program in India.
Seymour's first resin piece, Tri-Kami, is ready
Seymour's got his first resin piece ready for release, a curious creature called Tri-Kami. The 7-inch-tall resin figure is made up of three individual sections that rotate, so you can create a Tri-Kami look of your own choosing. It's also a small run: only 10 pieces have been made, and each is hand-painted by Seymour.
If you want one for yourself, they'll be US$300 plus shipping and go on sale Saturday at noon Australian Eastern Standard Time (2 a.m. GMT, 9 p.m. Friday Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific). To actually buy one, you'll need to be one of the first 10 people to e-mail Seymour and complete payment.

Kahotan shows off heroic Iron Patriot
I don't know why, but shrinking Iron Man down to Nendoroid form works. It's fun, adorable and I want to pose it all around my room, preferably shooting missiles at my other robots. Of course, if you're taking the Mark 42 from Iron Man 3 and making a figure of it, you've got to have an Iron Patriot to go along with it! Kahotan did just that, posting a small gallery of the patriotic suit. Besides the attractive color scheme, I really like how they molded chibi-Rhodey's face. The only thing that would've been better is if they gave chibi-Rhodey a gun so he can show off how much better a shot he is than chibi-Tony.
Nendoroid Iron Patriot Hero's Edition is set for release late May 2014 for ¥4,167.

Snow Miku's magic rabbit turns plush at Snow Festival
It looks like Hatsune Miku won't be the only one getting merchandise at this year's Sapporo Snow Festival. Yukine, the rabbit chosen as a magical girl mascot to compliment the Vocaloid's Magical Snow outfit, (which will of course be getting a spiffy Nendoroid release, courtesy of Good Smile Company) will be immortalized in a pair of fittingly fluffy plushes. Both the phone strap plush along with the larger standalone one will be made by MOVIC.
For those lucky enough to attend the Sapporo Snow Festival, the larger Yukine stands at 43 centimeter and costs ¥3,150. The phone strap plush is 23 centimeters tall and costs ¥1,550. Both measurements include the length of the ears. For the rest of us, I guess we will just have to hope that the two bunnies make it online at some point.

Argonaut Resins' Sparkly Tuttz Minis are festively fun
After the success of the Christmas Holiday Hunt and New Years Hunt Tuttz blind boxes, Argonaut Resins is releasing the Tuttz Mini Sparkly Cats again. This time they won’t be blind boxed so you can pick out the figure you want. There will also be glow in the dark chase cat figures, but these will be a surprise to the ones who buy them.
I think a reason these glittery felines are so popular is because they look like a frozen burst of confetti colored in many different fun colors. Released this time in an edition of 25, each Tuttz will measure close to four inches. All of them will come signed and numbered in a custom box with a certificate of authenticity.
If you want to see these cats in certain colors, you can request it by going to their Twitter, Instagram or Facebook page. The Tuttz Mini Sparkly Cats will be released in Argonaut Resins’ online store all this week. Snatch them up while you can for US$40 each.

"AT-AT Lido Cup" by Franco Brambilla
"AT-AT Lido Cup" - featuring art by Italian illustrator Franco Brambilla. This image is not particularly new, and was previously seen on the cover of "LET'S GO BACK TO THE CLASSICS" = "A collection of vintage postcards invaded by classic sci-fi characters and ships from movies and TV shows. From 2001 to Star Wars."
Loving the "traditional" style of vintage art, something we don;t see that much of these modern days, IMHO.
