THE POWERPUFF GIRLS ARE ALL GROWN UP
This was done by the incredibly talented illustrator Stanley Lau a.k.a. Artgerm for his Justice Magazine series of mock covers. The dude’s work is off the hinges. Check out more on his deviantART page.

Brandon "Bwana Spoons" Answers "How Was 2013?"
WHAT: I asked a select few folks how their 2013 was, and what should folks expect from them in 2014, and this is what they shared with TOYSREVIL…
TOYSREVIL-SAYS: I was "lucky". This was the very first time I DMed the artist known as "Bwana Spoons" out of the blue, and had seeked his participation in this Year-end-wrap-up Q&A-scheme, and he replied. I've long been a 'errand'-fan of his work, but never truly been able to fully grasp at, or label "it", but seems I came at the tail-end of his next artist-evolution, and I am grateful for Brandon sharing with us...
BRANDON BWANA SPOONS: January 2013 I was very focused on a globby graphic novel. I don't think I even came close to finishing. But it inspired me to do other things that bumped along the year.
Toy wise. I got Jeff done on my own. Which felt pretty big. And Gargamel produced Teenage Randall. I also started working in instead of just on, my own studio. Favorite trip was probably... going to the desert and picking up my Giant killers.
(Below: "Spacehorse Jeff" to be released Friday Jan 17th)
BRANDON BWANA SPOONS: 2014. I seem to be pretty focused on painting right now, being a painter again. My big plans for the year are to expand the universe of Gravy toys. Starting with getting Lonny (jeff's brother) made thru a kickstarter, and to travel to rapa nui towards the end of the year. Two simple biggish goals. Let's see how i do.

Tomopop LinkUP: Robot Carnival
You might have noticed last week things got a little bit quiet around these parts. Thanks to the New Year being a much bigger deal in the east than in the west, news coming out of Japan was pretty light. You might even call it nonexistent as Japan basically took all of last week off. Seeing as how this article thrives on covering the greatest news from the previous week that came in under the radar you might see why this installment came up a little starved for news.
What's a writer to do?
I probably could have just taken a week off, but instead I decided to fall back on my one true love: Transformers. I was only four-years-old when the franchise launched in 1984 and I've been a fan non-stop ever since. For 30 years I've been spending money on it, letting it take over my house and my life, sticking with it through the good times and the bad. If that doesn't sound like marriage then I don't know what it sounds like. Well, an obsession, I guess, but that doesn't sound nearly as nice.
Whatever. Welcome to the Tomopop LinkUP Transformers special!

HOW MANY TIMES WOULD HARRY AND MARV HAVE DIED IN THE ‘HOME ALONE' MOVIES?
I always wondered this, even as a kid. Sure, I’d seen hundreds of boulders, anvils, safes, pianos and more dropped on Wile E. Coyote’s head in cartoons, but I still wince when that iron drops on Marv’s head in Home Alone. And then there was the scene in Home Alone 2 where Kevin is chucking bricks at Marv’s skull from a rooftop and I always thought he’d be dead as shit in real life.
Screen Junkies got a doctor to diagnose every injury sustained by the Wet Bandits across both Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York and the final conclusion is further proof that they just don’t make kid flicks like they used to.
