It was in 2001 that Bungie and Microsoft teamed up to create the next generation of first person shooters that was destined to change the world of gaming with Halo: Combat Evolved. Since the release of Halo gaming has come a long, long way. Sideshow Collectibles is proud to celebrate more than a decade of […]

It feels like not too long ago we were all anticipating the release of S.H. Figuarts Sailor Moon. Now here we are seeing the preview of S.H. Figuarts Sailor Venus. It’s actually quite a surprise, because I thought they were releasing the Sailor Scouts in the order they were introduced into the series.
If that was the case, Sailor Jupiter should have been the next figure announced. I wonder why Bandai went with Venus first? Just like all of the previous Sailor Scouts, Venus will come with interchangeable hand and face parts.
So you can pose her to make it look like she’s doing her Crescent Beam attack. Also, just like Sailor Moon, Venus will come with Artemis. It would have been really cute if they gave her extra parts so she could be Sailor V.
Maybe I’m in the minority, but Sailor V was always so cool to me. Set to be priced at ¥4,536, S. H. Figuarts Sailor Venus will be officially released in April.

I find that buying gifts for tween girls is one of the most difficult things to do. Their interests may vary widely but one thing all tweens have in common is the desire to express themselves! Here are some of our favorite creative gifts that your artsy tween will love. These kits are rated for […]

Have you seen the trailer for the upcoming Godzilla remake yet? Released about a week ago, it doesn't show much but was enough to get a lot of people excited.
Big Bad Toy Store has listed a slew of pre-orders for Bandai of America's collectibles based on the new film which apparently spoil a little of the film, as the listings include figures for monsters known as "mutos" which apparently may have wings and/or many limbs (assuming that Muto isn't just one creature with many forms like Destroyah). I imagine muto/s is just slang for "mutant" and some of the creatures may yet see official names, but I welcome the information that Godzilla might actually be fighting SOMETHING other than the military (something that can be as annoying as an origin story-heavy superhero film).
The new Godzilla merch includes the expected action-feature figures as well as some chibis and, most interesting of all, "destruction packs" featuring one of the monsters and a destructible building. The price point for the destruction packs suggests that the figures might be around the size of Micro Machines and McFarlane Toys' failed Halo Micro Ops line. We'll probably see photos prior to Toy Fair.
If you're not excited by these collectibles, just remember that Bandai of Japan will probably include these characters in its MonsterArts line.

Matty Collector is currently pimping out the Four Horsemen's development blog for the Masters of the Universe Classics Castle Grayskull (ie, that giant awesome but totally expensive adult playset) which, by the way, is still in-stock at Matty Collector.
The blog is interesting not only for providing a behind the scenes look at the creation of the most hotly anticipated MotUC collectible since Battle Cat, but the insights themselves may be helpful to anybody considering making custom collectibles. As a general thing, it's always neat to see objects slowly built up. Hopefully the last day will include a clip show/time-lapse creation video.
Check out the gallery for images from the first three days and, if that strikes your fancy, be sure to visit the development blog for its in-depth day breakdowns.

Attack on Titan's Mikasa was on pace to be one of my favorite female characters of the year... but then the show just kind of stopped building her up. Even so, there's no denying that she's a talented titan killer, which brings us to this figure by QuesQ.
They've certainly captured her fighting spirit, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm glad Mikasa is getting figures, but this particular one is... a bit wrong. Her face just doesn't look like Mikasa at all.
I'll wait for a dekomasu before getting too down on this, but the sculpt looks inaccurate to me. You can check out the rest of this gallery at Akiba Hobby. And hopefully let me know if I'm crazy.

Deck the halls or Ho..Ho..Ho… We all know that Santa is just around the corner. He is all set to paint the town with colors of joy. Christmas time is indeed cheerful. On this occasion we decided to take a break from all the materialistic pleasures and spend some family time. So, here’s how I plan on spending my Christmas Eve with my kid:
(1) Crafty Much?
Christmas is the season to let the world know that goodness has arrived. We took this x-massy thought and decided to decorate our surroundings with Christmas symbols.
I skimmed through the old scrap books, year old Christmas cards, craft leftovers and made table layouts, hangings and more.
(2) Baking treats
My kid loves to spend time pretend playing with their toys. I am planning to give it a realistic touch by actually involving him in the kitchen. I am planning on assigning him with small activities like checking on the dough consistency or the sugar levels and more.
(3) Give-a-ways
This festive season teach your child to let go of things that are precious to them. Sort your child’s toys, clothes, story books and spare a few for the needy ones.
(4) Sing-a-thon
What better way than Christmas carols to set the mood for this lovely season? Jingle bells or Joy to the world, catch your rhythm and spread the love.
(5) Movie marathon
Holiday season and movies go hand-in-hand. There are some really good Christmas children movies that one can watch on the Christmas Eve. You can get your child to understand a lot about the Christmas story and the values inculcated.
We also took some inspiration from this LEGO blocks crib build. We’re sure incorporating some ideas.
Convey us your ideas on the same and we’d be happy to add to our list. Season’s greetings to one and all.
