Scans reveal KanColle's figma Shimakaze
With the big hit that Nendoroid Shimakaze was, it was surely only a matter of time before Max Factory got in on the sweet, sweet Kantai Collection business. And indeed, scans leaked early this morning have showed off a prototype figma version of Shimakaze, announced a few months ago but unseen until now.
It's a logical move for Max Factory considering how up everyone is on KanColle at the moment, and Shimakaze is looking good for such an early stage in the process. It'll be interesting to see how MF handle her...uniquely positioned skirt as regards hiding leg joints, but that remains to be seen. For now, all we can say is it's a fine time to be a fan of moe battleships.

Unwrap Amakuni's Erza Scarlet prototype
Amakuni and Hobby Japan announced a little while back that they'd be making a figure of the much loved Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail, but we hadn't had a chance to see anything of the actual product until earlier today, when a Hobby Japan press release showed off the first shot of the unpainted prototype.
It's a very striking look for sure, with a unique pose and Erza represented in one of her more popular outfits, with katanas, big baggy trousers and a chest wrap, which I'm sure entirely coincidentally has come undone. This is one of those prototypes which is a little difficult to judge - there's so much going on that without colour to distinguish everything it looks a little messy. Still, we can always do with more Fairy Tail figures, and this definitely looks like it could be amazing, so we'll keep our eyes open.
