Legacy Dragonzord and Dragon Dagger arrive in February
My holy grails will be in my possession soon if Toys R Us Canada is to be believed. Appearing on the retailer's website are pre-orders for both the Legacy Dragonzord and Dragon Dagger.
If you remember from NYCC, these two releases are the real deal. While the Legacy Dragonzord will not likely feature the lights and sounds of the original, it has a lot of improvements to the sculpt and a lot less stickers. The Dragon Dagger will feature lights and sounds, not to mention be a full-sized replica, unlike the gimped miniature version from 2010.
If the prices hold, you'll be paying $79.99 a piece for the exclusives. Ouch. Considering that the Legacy Megazord is going for $69.99, it's a bit of a pill to swallow. I'm hoping this is a case of Canadian pricing, but the two sites do share the same price for the Megazord. According to TRU Canada, these two items will be releasing on February 22nd, 2014. Not that long of a wait, only 95 days to go, not that I'm counting or anything. In the meantime, you can also pre-order the Legacy Golden Green/White Ranger Power Morpher in the U.S., which will be due out on January 28th, 2014.
Soon, holy grail. Soon.
[Thanks, Chris!]

Hello Kitty Ninja Turtles really says it all
Hello Kitty gets crossed over with lots of different franchises, but this one is really out there. Dreams Come True, Inc. has announced their latest COOL JAPAN X COOL AMERICA project promoting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle franchise in Japan by combining them with the ever-present Japanese icon. Not only does she (they?) get the Ninja Turtle look, but she comes fully armed as well. Strangely enough, while the characters are based on the modern Nickelodeon look all of the packaging is based on the original cartoon characters.
Each figure measure 145mm (about 5.70 inches), but are rather expensive at ¥6,980 each. They're due out on November 23, but at a limited run of only 1,000 each they probably wont stick around for long. Between this and the upcoming Simpsons crossover it's really not that easy to be surprised anymore.
