What's in UFO Catchers? Sonico, schoolgirls, and more
Recently, I had a chance to wander around one of my local arcades and see what prizes were locked up inside the machines. Locked away behind a promise if you get the claw to drop in some precise way, or break the piece of toilet paper separating your waifu from freedom, or some other obstacle.
Besides the usual array of plushies (including some Pokémon X & Y ones you can see in the gallery), I saw some OreImo figures, Sonico, Miku, One Piece, Medaka Box, and more. There's usually a little bit of everything, though, so you're bound to find something that you like.
This image collection is really just a bit of the highlights, since it's impossible to take pictures of all the machines (if photos are allowed in the arcade at you're in at all) when some of them are too crowded. Either way, take a look at what I managed!

Kuroneko returns with another beach ready pre-order
Kuroneko isn't quite down and out either, fighting the good fight past Oreimo's end! Thanks to Orca, we've got another figure featuring the same swimsuit Kotobukiya gave us a look at, though as much as I loved that one Orca may have done an even better job!
For one, the pose is a lot more unique than your typical standing-around-in-a-bikini figure, both thanks to Kuroneko kneeling down as well as the stretched out placement of her arms and interlocked fingers. The slightly shy but irritable look over her shoulder is pure Kuroneko at her best, and of course I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the great look at her figure the pose offers--especially from behind!
While I already have Koto's version of this swimsuit in my possession, I don't know if I can pass up a double that looks this good and I can't imagine fans would want to either. With an asking price of around ¥8,970, get ready for her to welcome in the Spring this May.

Pop! goes the Big Lebowski, first photos revealed

Good news for people who bring their firearms to bowling alleys: JMD Retail has photos of Funko's upcoming Pop! The Big Lebowski figures. These Pop! figures went up for pre-order earlier this year but no real photos were available until now.
The wave consists of "the Dude" (Jeff Lebowski, played by Jeff Bridges), Walter (played by the ever-volatile John Goodman), Donny (played Steve Buscemi), Maude, and "the" Jesus. Prominently absent, of course, is the eponymous "Big" Lebowski (a.k.a. "Mr." Lebowksi, the wheelchair-bound multi-millionaire at the heart of the story) but I imagine that Funko may not be handicap accessible. Hey guys, put in a ramp already!
The Dude and his cohorts are often viewed as pop culture icons so it's great to see the characters get more merchandise even if most people will ultimately stuff Donny in a coffee can and scatter him at sea because they thought he liked to surf. Both the Dude and Walter look fantastic, with the Lebowski Pop! capturing the character's essence remarkably well. And to anybody who thinks that these two aren't totally awesome, all I have to say is: "Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."

UPDATE: The Pop! Leboski figures are slated to come out December 17th while the Talking Wacky Wobbler is scheduled for a mid-January release. The Wacky Wobbler has the following quotes:

- "Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."
