VTech Switch & Go Dinos - Blister The Velociraptor Dinosaur - Transform from a combat helicopter to a speedy dinosaur with VTech's Blister the Velociraptor! This transforming toy fuses two of boys' favorite things?dinosaurs and vehicles?into one awesome play experience your child will love! This is Blister, and I'm looking for a few good Velociraptors to join my squad. We may be small, but we're built for speed, and our claws and teeth make us fierce predators. This mission is classified, and we never surrender. Velociraptors in formation...now charge! Switch to dinosaur mode to see Blister's animated dinosaur eyes and his long, curved, sickle-like claws. Sound effect buttons emit realistic dinosaur sounds and phrases that teach.

LiLMoon creates Fancy Pikachu plush

Deviantart user LiLMoon showed off their latest work, a plush Fancy Pikachu. This plush toy shows Pikachu wearing a top hat and monocle to go with his very sophisticated mustache. Now I won't get dirty looks when I bring my Pokemon to fancy restaurants!

This design was based off of Kneazlegurl125's Gentlemen Pikachu. In LiLMoon's version, they changed the color of his mustache from brown to black, and changed his bowler hat to a top hat. These Fancy Pikachu plush toys were sold at Anime Expo, and while they all sold out, more will be on the way. LiLMoon is even talking about making a matching Raichu.

The Target-only PLANES 4-packs are quite nice. You don’t really save a lot of money from buying the singles individually but there are no repeats so far in the ones included in the 4-packs, for instance, regular Dusty is NOT included in every box – AMAZING! You could actually buy all 4 (three are out) [...]

Number of new Takara Tomy Transformers hit Amazon JP

Good ol' Amazon Japan. We can always count on you to get us new official pictures of the latest Japanese Transformers when other stores fail. This time around we're getting another good look (or in some cases our first good look) at Titan class Metroplex, Tripplechanger Sandstorm, and the Legends Megatron with Chop Shop and Starscream with Waspinator two-pack.

Just to recap some of the differences between the Japanese Takara Tomy and the Hasbro versions showing up in the rest of the world: Metroplex is styled more after the original G1 figure with two guns and chromed parts while the Hasbro version is more similar to the Fall of Cybertron version, has one gun, and no chrome. Sandstorm has darker shades and less black than the Hasbro version. The Japanese Megatron uses traditional silver colorings and Chop Shop uses darker colors as opposed to Hasbro's accurate IDW comic colors. Takara Tomy's Starscream and Waspinators simply use darker shades for the most part compared to Hasbro's.

For most fans the differences between the two versions probably isn't enough to shell out the extra cash, but as long as Takara Tomy is doing similar releases to Hasbro you'll always have options. If you are interested in buying you've got some choices.

Maneuver your way to this figma Mikasa preview

We saw her Nendoroid last week, but this time round it's the turn of the figma version of Mikasa Ackerman to take central stage, as the figma blog put up a preview of the Attack On Titan heroine earlier today.

It's a damn impressive one too, showing off what looks to be an absolutely top notch version of the character. Mikasa is sporting some excellent detail and paintwork here, from the sharp badges on her jacket to the beautifully executed strapping on her legs. There's a healthy bunch of accessories here too, with all eyes inevitably drawn towards a stunning recreation of the 3D maneuver gear in miniature, replete with pipes, cables and grappling hooks all wonderfully replicated to scale. It's a testament to the skill and care of Max Factory's sculptors that it all looks so great.

You'll also get Mikasa's trademark scarf, her cape and three faces, of the neutral, angry and desperate variety, along with  a bunch of smoke effect parts to go with the 3D Maneuver gear. If you want to get your hands on such a generous loadout, you'll pay an above-average ¥4,800, with pre-orders through the GSC store netting a unique bonus di:stage stand you can see in the gallery. . Is it me or are 'premium' priced figmas becoming more and more common these days? Still, I doubt any fan could resist what looks to be one of the standout releases of the year. Pre-orders begin tomorrow so check back here and don't dawdle!

Sometimes explaining the insides of anything to a child feels like an overwhelming task. If they can’t see it, how do you describe it? Kiddos are just too literal, and my hand gestures and rudimentary language just don’t cut it. Luckily we are in the age of good books and amazing apps like The Human Body, […]
