Picture this: you own a $550,000 TRON Lamborghini, bought entirely with money that you inherited as a member of the ruling Qatar family.  Then, because you are (not allegedly, but assuredly) obscenely rich and don’t care at all, you (allegedly) drive it around at high speeds without a license or proof of insurance.  (Allegedly).  I don’t want to get sued by someone who can waste half a million dollars on a purple car. If this is you, congratulations!  You are officially the ...

We first saw Max Factory's super impressive 'True End' version of Kirino Kousaka back at WonFes and a lot of fans expressed interest in picking her up, pointing out the lovely sculpt, impressive scale and high level of detail.

Well, I have to imagine many of those fans are having second thoughts, as more details have emerged and they don't make very happy reading for collectors. Firstly, it's been confirmed that Kirino will be exclusive to the Dengekiya online store, so you'll need to go through a proxy, with all the extra cost that entails. The cost is particularly pertinent too, as it's been revealed she'll cost a truly staggering ¥15,750.

That's one of the highest prices I've ever seen for a 1/7 scale figure, and there doesn't seem to be much to justify it. Yes it's a lovely figure, but there's nothing here that you wouldn't expect in a figure costing two-thirds the price. If you're dead set on adding her, orders will be open until the 31st October, but I can't in good conscience recommend it. Plus, why would you want to remind yourself of one of the most hideous story endings of all time?

Playmates has officially announced that its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics Collection (which consists of both the new 6-inch figures as well as reproductions of the original 4-inch figures) will be carried exclusively by Toys "R" Us. The figures will be sold at select Toy "R" Us stores in addition to being available on the website.

If nothing else, the announcement explains why we haven't seen the line anywhere else thus far since Toys "R" Us has seemingly been the only retailer to carry these offerings. As such, the announcement seems more a formality than anything else although I suspect it will directly impact online retailers (although BBTS still lists pre-orders). The 6-inch TMNT Classics line launched around this same time last year with an initial offering consisting of the four turtles which featured head-sculpts inspired by the original figures from the 1988 line. Bebop and Rocksteady were announced (and shown) earlier this year and are due out in the Fall.

The 4-inch Classic Collection (not to be confused with the Playmates' 4-inch line based on the new cartoon) uses molds from the original 1988 toyline and started appearing at retail over a year ago. The line will apparently pick up some vehicles in the form of a re-issued Party Wagon (from the 1988 line) and Mech Wreckers (from 2004).

Personally, I still can't wait to add Bebop and Rocksteady to my collection.
