Banpresto were also present at Chara Hobby, so that can mean only one thing... Lots of Ichiban Kuji items!!
There were also some showings of their SQ figures line as well, with Saber and the Madoka Magica girls appearing and they're not looking too bad considering their price. And since they are SQ figures, they should be pretty cheap!
But the majority of their floorspace was taken up with Ichiban Kuji prizes, either available now or in the near future. Stalwarts are present in the shape of Bakemonogatari, Idom@ster and Nanoha figures but they weren't the only ones by any stretch. The Busou Shinki items caught my eye, especially the ones of Ines and Lene.Of course, Girls und Panzer had to be present as did Shingeki no Kyojin!
Macross Frontier will also be getting more figures in the shape of another set of prizes. The KyunChara figures look decent enough but what the heck is up with Sheryl? There's only 1 figure I have seen which I dislike so much that I swore I'd never buy one. Even for completions sake. This new figure looks like someone took the head of my hated Sheryl figure and stuck it on a new body and changed the hair a little! Hell, Ranka looks better in this set! That NEVER happens!!!

Foo-Chan is the Internet’s latest feline phenom. He doesn’t just have a cute, disappointed face; he’s also got good taste in games. You can see the PlayStation Best edition of Katamari Damacy in the background of this shot, as well as a PS3 game, 360 game, DS games, and even a 360 console. That’s probably the only 360 in Japan.

Think you know your geek trivia? Designer Stuart Wade created a collection of 3D illustrations depicting fifteen different swords from movies, video games, and television shows. Can you name what series each of these legendary blades came from?
Wade also made a poster featuring all of the pics above which you can purchase from Society6.

Kotobukiya has released a photo gallery for its upcoming Fine Art X-Force Psylocke statue. Psylocke, a telepathic mutant ninja prominently associated with the X-teams, is depicted in her X-Force outfit.
The usually gorgeous femme fatale seems to feature the choice of either a psi-dagger that can be clipped onto her left arm or a second katana. While I really like the dynamic action-y pose, I'm not sure that I'm as fond of the sculpting. The hair almost seems too clumped together and Psylocke's breasts just don't seem as shapely as they're so often depicted (albeit this could conform to a more recent art style).
All the same, I still think Kotobukiya's Fine Art Psylocke statue looks great. For those more impressed than I am, this statue is slated to release in April.

Facebook user TF Upgrader has posted some new images of Action Toys' new non-transforming Ultimetal Optimus Prime. The figure stands a towers 17 inches tall and features remote controlled lights and sounds, a mouth plate that moves when he talks, diecast parts, and removable parts that show his inner workings. He'll also come with a version of his gun that can be openned up, energon axe, and the Matrix.
Price and release date hasn't been announced yet, but it probably won't be too long from now. I'm not entirely clear if this is officially licensed, but I'm pretty certain it is. At this size it's hard to justify, for me anyway, buying a single Optimus Prime figure that doesn't go with any other figures. Now, if they make a matching Megatron then we've got something.
