[Update - Last call for entries! The contest closes at midnight tomorrow, so get those final photos in!]

Hey all, it's been a little while since we last held a photo competition, so it's about time for a new one I'd say!

Given we've been having such a glorious summer, the theme this time round will be Summer Holidays. That's a pretty broad criteria, so feel free to use your imagination to come up with some fun scenarios. Whether it's bikini girls on the beach or Figuarts frolicking in the woods, as long as it's appropriately 'summery' it's eligible. Bonus points for creativity!

If you're interested in entering, then you can either leave a comment in this post with your entry, or create a CBlog with it in. One entry each only, so make sure you hit us with your best shot. This contest is open for readers worldwide, but please note if you're outside the United Kingdom then we'd nicely ask you to cover the cost of shipping the prize.

What prize you say? Well, for the winner we'll be handing out Alter's rather gorgeous Ohana Matsumae (review) courtesy of Hobbylink Japan. If you fancy having her in your collection, then you've got until Friday 30th August to enter. That's one week from today! Good luck everyone!

Another week and another reveal for the 2014 Transformers Subscription Service 2.0 being run by Fun Publication and Hasbro. This week we get our first look at Fisitron. His real name is Ironfist, which for obvious Marvel character reason isn't usable on the figure. In the IDW comics he uses the name Fisitron to write online reports about the Wreckers. The ultimate fan-boy. However, in the also official Transformers Club comics the character is written as a burly, Australian-sounding gunner. Talk about split personalities.

The figure is based on the Transformers: Generations Fall of Cybertron Roadbuster figure, itself a remold of the FoC Swindle mold. It's not bad, though not incredibly accurate to anything either. Guess they just needed a mold with four wheels and a face mask. Sort of ironic that the non-Wreckers fan-boy version of the character is getting a figure repainted from a Wreckers figure.

He's joining Treadshot and Barricade from the previous reveals and the yet-to-be-seen Chromedome figure. That leaves two more unannounced characters, Chromedome's reveal, and the seventh bonus figure for the next three weeks.

Did you look at the Red Ranger and Green Ranger and think, "I wish I could have half of each figure." Well, Bandai heard you and made a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Armored Red Ranger. As previously announced, this figure will have the Red Ranger wearing the Green Ranger's gold armor.

He will also come with his Power Sword and the Green Ranger's Dragon Dagger. Now, Bandai has finally given this figure an official release date and a retail price. The U.S will actually see the Armored Red Ranger first in October for US$44.99. Japan will see this in November as a Tamashii Web Exclusive.

[UPDATE: The official Dollfie Dream Hatsune Miku page is now up in english! Pre-orders will start on September 28th via the Volks online store while further details will be found in Volks own magazine or on the website in mid-September. No word on whether or not the US Volks store will be handling things on their end yet.]

The official Dollfie Dream twitter account just released a bit of a bombshell for vocaloid fans...

Hatsune Miku is getting an official Dollfie Dream release and they just teased a shot! The Dollfie Dream blog also mentions that Volks will be at the Magical Mirai Miku event which is happening round about now, so perhaps we'll get some more shots of the doll very soon!

Aside from the brief post and the poster of her (presumably from the event), there's not much info available, although various tweets have said that she will be a regular release rather than an event exclusive, which would make her easier to obtain. So, who's going to take the plunge? I bet a lot of Vocaloid fans will be trying for this one!

  • Tonner has revealed a new Tonner Character Figure that is currently available for pre-order. The Toy and Miniature Museum was beyond belief. I can't begin to express to you the quality and quantity of miniatures contained therein. I could have spent two days there. At every turn in the glorious former mansion were rooms filled with the finest displays you can imagine. If you ever get the chance, you must visit.
