Sandra Stillwell Presents: "Every Day's A Holiday" Souvenir Fashions

The amount of stuff I came home with from Kansas City borders on the obscene. Besides the things I bought, we were given an incredible array of fashions and swag. Today I had some time to photograph most of the souvenir outfits.
All the ensembles came with gloves but I'm not the most patient dolly dresser and I just didn't put most of them on.

The dolls are mine as we did not get dolls as souvenirs. However....I did win a centerpiece Vita and I also won two Tonner dolls in the raffle. I was very lucky. More about that later.

Those of us who went on Thursday's tour will be getting a fantastic replica of a late 40's TWA hostess fashion. This is a picture of the prototype.
We got an adorable felt circle skirt decorated with Christmas symbols. Other swag included handbags, hats, paper miniatures, and so much more.

Wait until you see the rest of the goodies! Stay tuned.

Fisher-Price Cruise and Groove Ballapalooza

Fisher-Price Cruise and Groove Ballapalooza Move to the beat with music and six dancing lights with the Cruise & Groove Ballapalooza, from Fisher-Price! Baby can drop colorful balls onto lower ramps or crawl through the gate for a different perspective. When they're old enough to pull up and stand, little ones can drop balls into the chute for surprise, bounce-back action to play all over again. Whether they're sitting, crawling, pulling-up, standing or cruising, the beat boppin' music will keep baby moving and grooving!

Non-Stop Action for Baby

A brand new way for baby to play, with beat-boppin' music, dancing lights, and exciting bounce, chase and roll ball-action! With brightly colored ramps, tunnels and balls, the Fisher-Price Cruise & Groove Ballapalooza takes baby up, down and around a whole new world of fun and learning. Baby can drop the colorful balls onto lower ramps and watch them roll, or crawl through the gate for a different view of the action! And when baby is able to pull up and stand or cruise, she can drop balls into the chute for a bounce-back action surprise.

Multiple Ways to Keep Baby Entertained, Sitting, Standing or Crawling

The Cruise & Groove Ballapalooza comes with six colorful balls and encourages baby to move all around, up and down to achieve key physical milestones. And they'll have a rockin' good time while they're at it, too, thanks to brand new, beat-boppin' music! The center tower has six dancing lights that encourage baby to sit and play, or crawl, stand and cruise.
Sitting babies can drop balls onto the lower ramps or bat at the paddle wheel; crawlers can crawl through the 360 degree spinning gate or crawl through the main archway to be rewarded with lights and sounds. And when baby is ready to stand and cruise, there's more fun and action to discover up top, too!

Develops Physical and Cognitive Skills

Designed for babies between 6 and 36 months of age, the Cruise & Groove Ballapalooza encourages development of important physical and cognitive skills. With 360 degrees of play, it rewards baby as they reach key physical milestones: sitting to crawling to pulling up, standing & cruising, helping baby develop gross motor skills, balance and coordination. Grasping & dropping balls on the roll-around ramps gives fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination a great workout, too. And since baby's own actions activate lights, music and ball rolling and bounce-back fun, baby starts to understand the concept of "cause & effect." It's learning and fun, all wrapped in one!

Vinyl Haze: Dunny Bong

Glass paraphernalia makers, Eric Ross and Captain Crunk, have created a rip-worthy tribute to Kidrobot’s Dunny platform. I don’t know much about this stuff, but if I did, I’d hit that bong.

My Easter Bonnet and Basket

You can stop wondering why I purchased so many cheap Barbies. Here is the hat I made for the Easter themed meal event in Kansas City.

The hat is made from three styrofoam wreath forms which I wrapped in ribbon. The crown of the hat is cut from a dollar store straw hat and hot glued in. I glued in thick piping cord to cushion the hat as it is quite heavy. The ties are pinned and hot glued.

My husband cut off legs and arms for me and I tossed in a few extra heads that were left over. Everything was embellished with trinkets that I had in my sewing room and broken bits of doll jewelry. It was a great way to get rid of stuff I will never use. The curly stuff on the top of the hat is from a bag of doll hair from Michaels.

Altogether the project cost about $60. The styrofoam forms were the most expensive part of the hat. I had everything else except the Barbies. People sold them to me for the cost of shipping! There are a lot of worthless Barbie dolls out there just waiting to be cut apart.

[UPDATED] Nendoroid Mikasa Ackerman reports in for duty

[Update: Pre-orders are go!]

We saw her pop up on Twitter recently, but now the heroine of anime sensation Attack on Titan, Mikasa Ackerman, is fully revealed in Nendoroid form, and the subject of another enjoyably in-depth preview from Kahotan.

It's looking like an absolutely packed release too, as Khotan shows off the myriad accessories bundled in the box. We've got three faces, normal, angry and scared, along with a replaceable scarf/mask part to cover the mouth. There's several pairs of arms, including one to recreate the Corps's trademark salute. Naturally Mikasa also comes bundled with her 3D Maneuver Gear and two swords, both of which can have delightfully gruesome blood effects added.

Overall it looks like a superb set, befitting one of the stars of the hottest show of the season. Kahotan also notes that those who pre-order from the GSC online store will get a special bonus in the form of a unique 'paved' Nendoroid stand. She'll be maneuvering her way to you in January, at the cost of ¥3,810. Pre-orders are now open, so click below to get your hands on her!
