"Samus Aran, the Armored Beauty" and "Zelda, the Twilight Princess", are two of three pieces done by Javier Jiménez for the 3NES show at Bottleneck Gallery in New York, premiering September 6th, and they are awesome, in the recognizable style of Javier!

Stay tuned for the reveal of the third piece, but in case I miss the punch, you are advised to check out his instagram @exoesqueletodv :)

Today the new line of Tiny Kitty dolls was posted on Tonner's website along with Patsy, Agnes Dreary, Willy Wonka, Cami and Ballerinas. You can see them all at http://www.tonnerdoll.com/latest-releases.
    Here are the Tiny Kittys:

    Dinner Dance-Dressed Doll-$139.99
Dinner Dance - This is the dress under the coat.

Pink Champagne Supper - Dressed Doll - $139.00
Basic Necessities Kitty - Basic Doll - $79.99
Garden Club Luncheon Dressed Doll $139.99
    Perfect Summer Day Outfit $79.99
    I Danced All Night - Outfit - $89.99
    Wine and Roses Outfit $79.99
I have mentioned many times that I have a large Tiny Kitty collection and that I am very happy to see TK return. My first impressions on this collection are mixed. I like Dinner Dance, Pink Champagne Supper and I Danced All Night and will most likely add them to my collection. I don't care for the wig on the basic doll. Usually when Tonner offers a wigged doll, he also offers for sale separate wigs. It would have been a good value if an additional wig were included.
I think the Garden Club Luncheon overwhelms the doll and the shoulders of the dress look awkward. I do love a doll with a hat, though.
So, for me, three items out of a 7 item collection is pretty good.
I hope the line continues to be popular and that we see more well-designed outfits.

Did you know that quite a few of Tiny Kitty's fashions will fit Silkstone dolls and several of the early Fashion Royalty fashions will fit her as well? There are many fashions out there from assorted manufacturers and doll lines that will fit. See if you can identify these.

Hey, I don't have a booth at STGCC, but am hardly prepared myself to cover! Loads to blog about still, and frankly, today Thursday will be spent energy drained at the press con, and then some!

I think we are all past the stage of panic, aren't we? Tell yourself that, and you'll do fine … maybe… heh.

    WHAT THIS IS:
Adding to the frenzy and panic of preparing for this weekend's Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Convention 2013, TOYSREVIL will "present" a simple daily countdown to Con-Day … peppered with little "reminders" here and there :) … TOYSREVIL may not be setting up booth at this year's STGCC, but I am with you in spirit, people!

Reet Neet has completed another custom, this time taking an 8-inch Hell Lotus from Mighty Jaxx and turning it into the Steam Trooper. Half Imperial grunt and half steam-driven machine, the Steam Trooper has a totally resculpted head and a gash in his left arm to show off the steampunk mechanations inside. However, there's still quite a bit left of the original Hell Lotus design so that you can see what it was. Some might argue too much of the original piece is left here, but it's fine to me.

The Steam Trooper goes on sale at Mintyfresh on Sunday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m. Central European Time (10 a.m. Eastern, 7 a.m. Pacific). A price hasn't been revealed yet and as it's a one-off, I'd hate to speculate on it too much. What do you guys think of the piece?

It’s nearing September, which means the start of the 2013 to 2014 NFL season. Among the major American sports, professional football very easily rates near the top; however, unlike baseball or basketball, the NFL is only broadcast three days a week. This raises the question: What to do on those other days when the ol’ [...]

Time to suit up, Halo fans: ThreeA has two new Spartans coming to the Bambaland store on Thursday night. To begin, there's the Emile A-239 Spartan III figure, which has fiber-optic illumination on his armor, along with magnetically attached shoulder shields and an arsenal of weapons. The grenade shells are also magnetically attached and a M45 Tactical Shotgun.

Also showing up this week is the Spartan Mark V EVA figure. He has all the same features as Emile, but happens to be a Bambaland shop exclusive. So you have two ways to get your 13.5 inches of space military muscle.

Both are going to be in the shop at 9 a.m. Hong Kong Time Friday (1 a.m. GMT, 9 p.m. Thursday Eastern, 6 p.m. Thursday Pacific) for US$220 each.
