Samuel Scarecrow - 16" Needle Felted Handmade OOAK Scarecrow Art Doll 

Unlike his cousin Stan The Pumpkin Man "Samuel Scarecrow" is not apprehensive about anyone taking his pumpkins. In fact, he's more than happy to let anyone take his pumpkins and his bales of hay for free as long as they do the work to harvest the pumpkins and hay bales. He feels that he is too regal to toil in the fields. He was meant for more refined activities like being waited on. Perhaps he should have chosen a different line of work than being a scarecrow.  What do you think....

Samuel's inner body is fully bendable and is sculpted out of Sunflower's alpaca roving from Rock Garden Alpacas Fiber and his outer body from a beige mix from Rock Garden Alpacas Fiber. His black boots were made using black alpaca roving  from Rock Garden Alpacas Fiber.  His hair is a combination of straw yellow roving and Ivy's brown alpaca roving from Rock Garden Alpacas Fiber.  Small pieces of orange roving and rust colored roving were used for his orange nose and rust colored cheek circles. His scarecrow features are outlined with black DMC embroidery floss.

His multi-colored pants are made from a Fall roving blend mix and are needled felted on him. He is wearing a brown and orange felt gathered hand sewn hat, orange felt hand sewn shirt with cuffs and black DMC embroidery floss embellishments. Roving buttons and bow-tie are felted to his shirt. His long hand sewn vest is made of brown patterned felt.

Samuel is sitting on a grapevine pumpkin and is holding a bale of hay in his hands which he can hardly wait to get rid of.  Besides being too messy for him, it just doesn't fit his regal attitude. At least he doesn't think so. Maybe someone should tell him he is a scarecrow after all......

There's a bunch of new, adorable stuff up in the 64Colors shop to look at. For US$65, you can pick one of two new 11-inch-by-14-inch Giclee prints: the adorable Marshall "Fly" print or the Genuinely Good print. Both are mounted on wood panels and are signed by Laura and Eric from 64Colors ... and a leaf-surfing Marshall is the most adorable thing ever. Can we maybe get Rotofugi/Squibbles Ink to make a figure based off that? Please?

If prints aren't your thing, then you can pick up the last Woodenboy custom Marshall for US$140. Good ol' No. 2 is a one-off and his siblings have found homes already, so you should probably act on that before some other 64Colors fan nabs it.

Hidemi Matsuzuka has tweeted a new teaser image seemingly pertaining to Square-Enix's new Variant Play Arts Kai line. The photo appears to depict a new figure (ie, it's not just the same figure seen before from a different angle) which has a knight-like appearance.

When the first teaser image emerged, I thought it may have been Devil Jin from the Tekken franchise. However, this new figure doesn't appear to be a Tekken character (or, at least, one that I'm familiar with) so that idea is thrown completely out the window.

Nor am I really sure as the identity of this new character. Although the helmet is somewhat reminiscent of the Soul Calibur series' Nightmare, the rest of the design doesn't seem like him. My first thought would be a Final Fantasy character, but Square-Enix already has Variant Play Arts Kai stuff for the Final Fantasy line and this is supposedly a new line altogether.

So, Tomofolk, any guesses?

Well, today I’ll be reviewing yet another Iron Man action figure that I find to be more deserving of being a part of your collection than any of the current 4-inch Iron Man 3 offerings by Hasbro, even though it is a repaint of a figure we got a couple of years back.

As we edge closer to fall, Halloween merchandise starts to appear on shelves in Disney Parks around the globe. Starting on September 3, Tokyo Disneyland will have two seasonal Vinylmations for sale. The figures of Minnie and Donald show the characters in Halloween costume, with Minnie as a witch and Donald as a Mummy. I love the added accessories to the pair, like Minnie's witch hat and cape and Donald's hat and Jack-o-Lantern. One of the really cool aspects of these Vinylmations is that they glow in the dark. How spooky!

The Halloween Minnie and Donald Vinylmations were designed by the artist Sio, whose signature can be found on the bottom of the figures along with a "Halloween 2013" mark. Each 3-inch figure will cost ¥1,200 when they are released. They will be exclusive to Tokyo Disneyland.

Blu-Ray.com have posted a product listing for the "Transformers Japanese Collection: Victory Blu-ray" that is said to be coming from our friends at Shout! Factory. While there is no confirmation yet, it is likely that fans will finally be able to see the Japanese exclusive cartoon in english. The release date and other details have not been listed. The image is just a place holder for reference until we hear more.
