Pre-order PULCHRA's cute cell phone stands
Every once in a while I see a novel idea pop up that turns ordinary things into anime collectibles, such as this cool Persona 4 Golden glasses holder I spotted a while back. The latest to grab my attention is a set of three cell phone holders that are made by a company called PULCHRA. I've never heard of them before but the idea behind their holder is novel enough and I like to see new companies enter the market, especially if they do a decent job sculpting.
Each holder has a slotted and themed base to fit a phone in addition to a miniature character to hold the phone stable. These phone holders are advertised to be compatible with Samsung Galaxy 2 phones and generic smart phones with covers. There are a few claimed exceptions but the design seems pretty good. The one worry I have about these is if the mini's feet are sturdy enough to hold a phone long term.
There are three initial models available. #1 featuring Mao from Maoyu and #2 and #3 as Himawari and Rei from Vividred Operation. Mao is particularly well crafted but I feel like the designers did a good job of bringing the right things across for the minis they are trying to sell.
These three holders come at a suggested price of ¥ 1980 yen and should ship out in late October of this year.
