BMO - Character Expressive of Third Wave Feminism?

It’s an awesome video that explains that it could be very possible that BMO, from the awesome Adventure Time television series, could be an expressive character representation of third wave feminism. If that sounds a bit wild to comprehend, check the video and hear this dude out. It’s insightful and makes a ton of sense.

SHF Sailor Mars coming in December, photo contest as well

Last time we left the Sailor Scouts, WonFes gave us the full team. The third release in the S.H. Figuarts lineup, Sailor Mars, was shown off in full color. Just a week later, the release details have been made available.

Coming this December, SHF Sailor Mars will be priced at ¥4,200. As it's just the initial image, there isn't really much to go on. I'm hoping for a decent accessory count, perhaps some flame attack effect parts. Given that November releases just went up for pre-order last week, it should be a while before Mars' pre-orders go live.

What Bandai also has planned for the release of S.H. Figuarts Sailor Moon is a new photo contest. They haven't given out any details for the contest, just that it will happen and be focused on SHF Sailor Moon. She is scheduled to be released on August 10th, which happens to be the first day of the contest. If all goes according to plan, there will be good prizes that you'll actually be able to win if you live outside of Japan.

AmiAmi gets an English blog

AmiAmi has announced that it now has an English blog. The prominent retailer, which has long had a Japanese blog, apparently launched an English-language version last week.

The announcement mentions that the company is sorting out some bugs and preparing some previews, but I imagine that it could eventually prove a valuable resource like its Japanese counterpart once the ball gets rolling. For now, it does appear to have its own Wonder Festival coverage and it seems like the blog will cover more than just collectibles.

In the mean-time, you can get to know the editors/administrators: Boke Nasu (who apparently likes deep-fried eggplant), PuruPi (who enjoys barbeque potato chips), and Disposable Villain (a fan of flamethrowers). AmiAmi blog team, we here at Tomopop wish for your success!

My son is almost 4 and attends daycare full-time during the school year. Every day after lunch they have rest time for a few hours. Avatar Sequels Confirmed

Does anyone really like Avatar that much? Doesn’t matter — James Cameron has confirmedthat since the release of Avatar in 2009, he’s been working on a way of putting out Avatar 2 and Avatar 3. He’ll be filming both at the same time and releasing the sequels one year apart from each other. The first sequel will be releasing in December of 2016, the next in 2017.

That’s not all though. It was also revealed through Fox that Cameron is having help writing three sequels in total, making three avatar sequels in total, and Avatar 4 finishing things up in 2018. Helping Cameron will be Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds), Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), and Shane Salerno (Savages), to pitch screenplays and “grow" the Avatar world to life.

Cameron says:

Building upon the world we created with Avatar has been a rare and incredibly rewarding experience.  In writing the new films, I’ve come to realize that Avatar’s world, story and characters have become even richer than I anticipated, and it became apparent that two films would not be enough to capture everything I wanted to put on screen. And to help me continue to expand this universe, I’m pleased to bring aboard Amanda, Rick, Shane and Josh — all writers I’ve long admired - to join me in completing the films screenplays.

A trio of Avatar sequels are officially coming soon. Fox will be banking on this one for sure.
