NoisyDvL5 from IAT does already did something like this, but while his statistical analysis is great, he didn’t really discuss the stuff that interested me. For example, the Minotaur the Duck variant is far and away the most popular figure after the regular Raven. I think this says something about this campaign. Minotaur the Duck originated as […]

Angelic Dreamz posted pictures of two new Monster High dolls today.
I don't collect them any longer but if I did, I'd get Draculaura for sure. She looks quite sophisticated in her tight little red skirt and plaid cape. Her hatbox is just adorable. Cleo is wearing her usual turquoise and gold signature colors - no big change there.
Each doll comes with three additional pairs of shoes, two pairs of earrings, sunglasses, tote bags and the usual assortment of flimsy bracelets. Ooh...I just noticed that Draculaura has painted white hands to resemble gloves. Such a lady.

Here's a heartwarming "Batman" story that I'm kind of proud of because it not only happened in my hometown, but it also involves a cool Teacher who shares the Caped Crusader with her students. But the story is kinda sad too and I know many Toy Collectors out there are going to totally relate.

Here's the deal. Becky Jo Evans is a Teacher at the Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, Oklahoma. This was one of the buildings that was hit during the infamous "Moore Tornado" of May 20th. Evans, an avid Batman Collector, displayed her collection in her classroom that she has been collecting since the age of 8.

Now, as you can imagine, the kids totally loved getting to view all the fun 'Batman stuff" she had. Plus, it was a way for her to connect to her Students. Well, because of the tornado, which was categorized as an  Ef-5, almost everything in her collection is totally gone. In the days following the event they have managed to find a few items that survived in the rubble.

The school has been repaired and the first day of class is August 16th. Please be sure to stay tuned to the BAT-BLOG for more information on this because I am going to try to start a donation drive to help. I mainly need to figure out how to accept donations online but will be working on it.

In the mean time, please be sure to check out this TV News 9 video covering her story. Thank you.

Recently, we wrote about a petition from mom Melissa Wardy for Lego to release a set of female scientist figures. After seeing that only 16 percent (11 percent if you don’t count the Lego Friends line) of Lego minifigures are females, Wardy knew something had to be done. She learned that one of the entries [...]

I may not be the biggest fan of Nendoroids, but exceptions like Date-a-Live's wonderful Tohka still pop up now and again! She made her appearance at WonFest recently, but you can already get your order in! It's hard to dislike any characters in the show, but for me, Tohka stands out from the rest by a wide margin, and you'd have to try pretty hard to make me dislike anything with her involved.

The Nendoroid itself looks great, thankfully, featuring her highly detailed Astral Dress along with her sword Sandalphon in very, very miniature form. True to the series' action-packed nature, you'll get quite a few accessories to pose her in dynamic shots, like motion blur for Sandalphon and some other handy items. Even I find this one hard to pass up, and I imagine many fans will be eagerly handing over her ¥3,620 asking price in December.
