VISEone's Zombie Goo enters production
VISEone sends along this update on his Zombie Goo figure, showing off the actual production piece's first pulls. The final size is expected to be around 8.5 to 9 inches, and is still on track for a release at New York Comic Con in October.
So how's it look? Well, pretty nice; I like how the decayed hand melts down from the squeezed goo. Expect to see two regular colorways and a special NYCC colorway of this piece, with a price to be determined.

Gunpla Builders World Cup qualifying comes to Otakon
Gunpla Builders World Cup qualifying rounds aren't just for the west coast. At Otakon 2013 (August 9 to 11) the GBWC will be making their first of two east coast stops (the other being New York Comic Con / New York Anime Festival in October). Builders will be able to bring their finished kit right to the Bluefin booth (IND08) once they've filled out an entry form and emailed it to customerservice@bluefincorp.com first. They'll be judged for prizes which could mean a trip to Japan to represent North America at the world competition for one skilled Gunpla builder.
And that's not all! If you want something you can actually do at Otakon the GBWC and Bluefin will be hosting a Gunpla speed building contest. Signup starts at 10:00AM on August 10 in the Art Show area with the first 20 contestants being given a kit they can keep to build on the spot starting at 10:30AM. Builders will be given 150 minutes to build their kits however they desire. Water will be provided for decal application and you'll be allowed to paint if you bring your own. This isn't just about building quickly; builds will be judged on different criteria such as how clean the build is, how well the decals are applied, and how it's presented to the judges. For complete details see the Otakon info page.
I'll be at Otakon and will try to bring back as much coverage as I can of the GBWC events.

D-Arts Elizabeth and chair are summoned this November
She got her first preview at WonFes this past weekend, but the wait won't be too long for D-Arts Elizabeth. The Persona 3 and P4A character November for ¥5,250. While that's more than the previous Persona D-Arts, accessories have a hand in the high price.
As to what can justify the price, it's a chair. While it may not seem like the most amazing accessory, I'm all in favor for out of the ordinary displays for figures. Needless to say, I'm kind of surprised it was included and thought it would just be a promotional image item. The chair isn't the sole accessory packaged, as she'll also come packed with her book and card.
As mentioned previously, D-Arts Elizabeth will be released this November for ¥5,250. With the official image galleries being released, pre-orders should be opened up soon right now. Stay tuned for the update when they become available.

RD Gundam Deathscythe Hell rises again this November
It's hard to believe that Gundam Wing made its U.S. debut 13 years ago. While Duo's Gundam Deathscythe Hell was one of the most popular suits from the series, it hasn't received any new figures or plamo since its debut. That will change this November with its release in the line of Robot Damashii figures.
Like the rest of Wing, the Gundams didn't exactly have a lot of features. What does come packed with Deathscythe Hell are the shield and twin beam scythe. You can remove the beam effects from both, not to mention adjust the wings. You won't really complain about the accessory count just because it does have everything from the series. However, accuracy does have its price.
What is a bit of a downer on this is the price. When the Robot Damashii Gundam Deathscythe Hell is released this November, it will retail for ¥5,040. That puts it as the most expensive Wing release to date. It's a lofty price, but this is Duo's Gundam we're talking about, so some will just bear and pay for it. Pre-orders should open soon right now, and with luck, there will be some decent discounts abound.

Arcadia's Cyril Brooklyn on pre-order duty
As I mentioned in my Arcadia WonFes post, Masamune Shirow's Cyril Brooklyn is up for pre-order now. With a uniform that's way too short to be up to code, Cyril rests on a stool, weapon in hand. Also, yes, she comes with removable glasses as well as castoffable parts. I'll let you picture how it looks.
The lovely lady with the gun is coming in December for ¥13,800. Anyone going to add her to their collection out there?
