Prepare yourself, figma Miku 2.0 pre-orders open tomorrow
When Mikatan gets around to putting up her previews of upcoming figures, that could only mean that pre-orders are right around the corner. While they've finally gotten around to making each of the major Vocaloids, now the most popular's figma has been upgraded for version 2.0.
As this is a 2.0, original owners are left to wonder whether this new version gives enough incentive to warrant a new purchase. A few of the new changes are easily spotted, such as the translucent hair tips, improved shading, and just a bit of increase in height. New accessories are always a way to get those who were on the fence, so Mikatan is leaving that up to tomorrow's post. Of course, by that time, pre-orders will be up and you can make your choice then.
We'll update this post once they go live and add in the rest of Mikatan's preview when it becomes available.

SDCC 2013: Kidrobot
At Kidrobot's booth at SDCC, they had on display all their upcoming releases as well as all of their exclusive items. For their upcoming releases, they had all of their Marvel crossover figures. There were Munnys and Mini Munnys of Venom, Spiderman, Iron Man and Wolverine.
There were also Marvel Labbits of Wolverine and Venom. For con exclusives, available were The Simpson's Zombie Bart and Futurama Zoidberg. While these two are SDCC exclusives, different colors of these two figures are available on Kidrobot's site right now.
Another exclusive there is Locodonta "Hog" Dunny by Jon Paul Kaiser. I think this one has to be my favorite from Kidrobot because this hog is an American daredevil! Also there was an exclusive 7 inch Labbit called Keep Watch Grip. Then from Kidrobot's Street Fighter line, there was a con exclusive of Mecha Zangief.

figma Amazing Spider-Man slings into previews
You have more than enough options if you want a figure of Spider-Man. Plenty of entries, made by a multitude of companies, offer Spidey to be able to pose in a multitude of ways. Now you have a new entry by figma which won't be able to pull off most of them.
While figma are well-articulated, we've seen Spidey do a lot more. One thing that Max Factory was able to do really well with this figure is the paint job and replication of the texturing of the costume. The paint really does pop out and you can see yourself buying it if for just that. His accessories are also different from what we'd usually see, as he comes with two webs, a cell phone and a backpack. That's right! A Spider-Man backpack, what I've always wanted with him!
For those who are interested in the web-slinger, he'll be shipping out in December for ¥4,800. At that price, maybe you can pass on this. If you do though, you won't be able to have Spider-Man walk, talk, and with a backpack!
