Special Edition Flocked CAVEY for #TTF2013 Taipei Toy Festival
Unbox Industries x A Little Stranger "officially" announces a Taipei Toy Festival Flocked Special Edition of CAVEY, and debuting at the event for the first time to the general public as well (see the line-up posted HERE.
PRESS: "Holly (Stanway) has agreed to allow Unbox to produce a special flocked limited run of the vinyl Cavey produced by Unbox. They will be made available every day but limited to one per customer. A limited amount of stock will also be reserved for online sales." ~shared Dan Willett of Unbox Industries.
TOYSREVIL has the good fortune to have an advanced look and feel of the quartet of colorways, and I personally feel the flocked versions is GENIUS. With the adorable form of the recently-released VINYL CAVEY, coupled with the tactile feel of the flocking - likened to the fabric/fleece-materials of the lush Cavey predecessor, this is quite a delight to behold, IMHO.
Simply put, if you can snag one at TTF, do not hesitate, and for International folks waiting for online details - I'll update availability details+information once I have them!
Seen @ #TTF2013: GARDEN(PALM)ER by Michael Lau x How2Work
I want to be there, to hold the 1/12th-scaled 7-inch figurines in hand, and shed inner tears of man-joy while air-stroking the collectibles thru their acrylic covers, and pretend to be all cool and nonchalant about it all … but only if I were at Taipei Toy Festival physically and personally tho … online? I cry like a babe scratching at the laptop screen screaming "I WAAAAAAANT!"
… wouldn't you?
I speculate the "spraycan" to be the figure's packaging, which makes me melt, admittedly so … "luckily" they seem to be on display only, with release happening 4th quarter 2013? Oh Joy! Staking out www.crazysmiles.com :)

Bartholomew Punchyface's second colorway will be at SDCC
Scott Tolleson and Luke Chueh's adorably pitiful Bartholomew Punchyface plush is seeing his second release at San Diego Comic Con. You may remember his initial release in April 2013, in which he wore a green sweater with brown corduroy pants. This special SDCC colorway shows Bart Bear in a cute orange/yellow top with blue pants. The poor bullied bear retains his not-so tightie-whities (with sewn in tag!), providing the owner with the opportunity for wedgie action, should you feel so inclined. Just like the first release, Bartholomew will also have a sign on his back. But instead of reading "Kick Me,"the note says "Wedgie is my Bestie."
I highly recommend buying Bartholomew Punchyface while you have the chance. I own the original and I was immensely impressed with the plush's detail and quality of production. The 14-inch tall plush will cost US$40 each and be available in "limited numbers" at 3D Retro's booth (#5139). Scott Tolleson will also be on hand to sign your Bartholomew Punchyface during the con.

Tomopop Review: Papagino Products Oda Nobuna no Yabou Set
Today we have a three piece set of chibi figures from Oda Nobuna no Yabou. This is one of several series released recently that take historical figures from Japan and recreate them as women. I, personally, hadn't heard of Papagino Products before receiving this item for review, but it looks as though they have strictly only released figures for this series thus far. You would think that would make them pros at it, wouldn't you?
Hit the jump and let's find out!
