Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters #2 Creator Commentary with Mairghread Scott
The Beast Brothers' Quetzalcoatl Dunny returns
Back in 2007's Dunny Azteca series, The Beast Brothers had a Quetzalcoatl Dunny among the figures that was a pretty neat design. Six years later, it's back and bigger: the brothers are releasing an 8-inch version of their Quetzalcoatl Dunny as a limited-run custom collectible. It sports the same details and green coloring, just made a lot bigger. These little guys will also come wearing a faux leather ponchi, and be packed inside a laser-engraved wooden box.
If you want one of them, you can pick one up in The Beast Brothers' shop on June 21 at 1 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. GMT, 10 a.m. Pacific) for US$450, plus shipping and handling. The order period is going to be or 24 hours only, so there's not a lot of time to sit around and decide if you want one or not!

The newest Gundam project is Gundam BF
Another year, another new Gundam project. The next project, rumored following the discovery of a web domain registration by Sunrise, has now been confirmed. The new series, Gundam BF, has no details except for the intro Gundam. The website is live, teasing its full opening on July 2nd. The tagline features the line "1/144 Gundam mobile." Is this another Gunpla anime or some other form of project.
The design to me is very SEED inspired, with traces of the Strike and Freedom Gundams pointing out at me. I'm excited to see what this might come of this. The design seems interesting enough and I like the head. Let's just see how this will all turn out on July 2nd.

Mad scientist Danny Choo is creating the first Smart Doll
Danny Choo is working on a a project that might make doll fans out of tech geeks. Built from the ground up his project, dubbed the Smart Doll (NSFW!), features custom software, 24 servomotors, and touch sensors. Yep, touch sensors, just let your mind wander on that last part. It'll also include ultrasound, visual, acoustic and location sensors, all hidden within the doll itself. The internal workings of the body will be capable of controlling the legs, torso, shoulders, and neck. Safe to say this is going to be an extremely interactive doll when it's complete.
It's quite the undertaking, but Danny is thinking big. The project is about 70% complete at this prototype stage and he's already planning ahead for mass production. Knowing how many hundreds of US dollars his dolls normally go for I can only imagine what this kind of interactivity will cost. He's planning some regular updates so stay tuned for more.

Wave's immodest Beach Queens Noumi is ready for pre-order
Wave's 1/10 Beach Queens Noumi Kudryavka (Little Busters!) is currently available for pre-order.
The figure features a fantastic head-sculpt and hair that, along with the pose, drives home the character's inherent cuteness... up until you take a good, hard look at that bathing suit and notice that arguably indecent top.
Wave's Beach Queens line has so often straddled the line of taste, occasionally putting younger characters in almost scandalous bathing suits. I know Noumi has little to no cleavage, but is that really an excuse for little to no bathing suit?
Assuming that you don't find the razor-thin top too distracting (in that it can change the vibe from cute to a little creepy), Beach Queens Noumi Kudryavka otherwise seems like a fantastic figure. She's adorable, the pose conveys a lot of energy, and she's sure to brighten up any shelf in your home... well, any shelf not immediately in sight of guests. Wave's Beach Queens Noumi Kudryavka is slated to release in October and is listed at ¥3,800.

Bandai S.H. Figuarts Sailor Mercury is finally painted
Update: Added photo from @Yoshi115t
We've been waiting, and the time has finally come; Sailor Mercury is finally painted!
Seen at the Tokyo Toy Fair, the newly painted Sailor Mercury made her debut. Standing next to Sailor Moon and Luna, Sailor Mercury will be the second S.H. Figuarts figure in the Sailor Moon series from Bandai.
The Tokyo Toy Fair is still under way, so I'm sure more surprises will come.

Oh man! So me and my special lady took the 5am bus from Reading, PA to New York City this past Saturday for the Animal Crossing New Leaf launch event and holy geeze was is fun! There were games to play sweet pins to collect, and StreetPasses aplenty. They even had a tiny replica diorama of an Animal Crossing town!
Check out the swankily edited video below for a better look at what you missed if you couldn’t make it out to NY over the weekend.
