I have to admit, I buckled. I bought Forever Edward for his clothes.

I will sell the doll as he is not a character I 'need.'

If you do decide to buy, before you click the complete purchase button, do your research and make sure you are getting your goodies for the best price. A quick check on Google will bring up a bunch of shops selling your mainline Tonner items. 

I'm glad I didn't cave right after the convention and buy Lady Grace. She is listed at $199. and last week, if I had ordered her, I would have been paying shipping, tax and no discount. (You have to pay tax anyway.) The difference in price between last week and now: $224.70 - $167.16 = $57.54! That's a nice chunk of change.

Famed Japanese artist, character designer, illustrator Yoshitaka Amano is in town for his first solo exhibition named "Mythopoeia", with the show launched June 7th at Mizuma Gallery, and courtesy of Keh Choon Wee, we have some snaps to share of artwork on display (used with kind permission), with the show exhibiting thru July 14th, 2013. Amano is famous for his illustrations for Final Fantasy, designs for Gatchman, and as well illustrated Neil Gaiman's Sandman: The Dream Hunters in 2000 (Read more via Wiki).


PRESS: 'Mythopoeia is the first solo exhibition in Singapore by the multitalented Japanese creator Yoshitaka Amano (61) from 7 June to 14 July 2013. The show, composed of several large and smaller automotive paint on aluminum paintings, explores the personal mythology nurturing the soul of the creative mind behind worldwide video-game success Final Fantasy.

In the present exhibition gods, heroes, androids, beasts and monsters from every corners of the space-time dimensions and beyond, burst through the pictorial surface in an explosion of acid colours to create “the universe I want to draw, one that none has ever seen; an unimaginable world, beyond time and space, where mystery, fantasy, light and darkness, everything merges in a transcendent and infinite universe” says Amano. “Mythopoeia”, as used by philologist and fantasy author J. R. R. Tolkien in the 1930s, refers to the creation of mythologies by a single person.' (Read more via Mizuma.sg)

If you were captivated by last year's creepy Mei from Griffon but let her slip through your fingers, fear not! Griffon's bringing her back for another round this August. Unlike last year, she'll arrive in time to make the proper creepy Halloween decoration!

There's not a lot to say that I didn't take notice of during her original release, though I will say with the eye patch removed she looks even better in close-up shots than I thought. Her stare is quite the hook, and the eerie doll remains the perfect addition to an already somewhat unnerving character. I'd certainly hate to miss her yet again, so hopefully the ¥9,800 won't be too hard for fans to come up with if any feel the same way.
