figma are great. For my money they're the premiere posing figure. But as fun as they are to pose it can be a little tricky to get them looking juuuust right. Well worry not as Max Factory has returned once again with their first handy posing guide since 2010! This time around they've enlisted the aid of figma Archetype ♀ to demonstrate the perfect neutral S-pose. The way the body looks after proper posing almost looks like a different figure! I'm not a huge fan of the in-turned feet, but this is super effective nonetheless.

If you want more tips on posing you can check out the previous guides featuring Subaru Nakajima, casual Saber, and Black Rock Shooter. That's all fine and good for the girls, but I wonder if we'll see a guide for the guys featuring Archetype ♂ any time soon?

I’m sitting here on a Friday thinking, yes, this week has been a big improvement over last week. My laptop is working again (thank you dear geek husband), we have a new printer (ok,yes, the old one died yesterday, one flaw in our week), I’m feeling better, and I’ve been checking lots of little things [...]

What, did you want to buy new CARS singles in the last 3 months? Maybe Mattel was hoping you’d want to buy some Hydro CARS, some Micro Drifters, some play sets or some silver launchers … but damn it if you did not wait them out and bought not much of the flanker CARS lines [...]

I've always wondered, when toy-makers gift their toy-adaptation of their product to the original actor playing the character in which the toy is made, based on the movie, how particularly horrifying it would have been, if the sculpted likeness of said actor on the toy-figurine, was horrible?

Now imagine if the figure you held in your hands, was made by Hot Toys instead, and your likeness was generously sculpted so much with accurate to your own likeness, that you hold in your hand a virtual mini-me voodoo-doll that someone could worship, feel-up, or undress, in the comforts of their own homes?

Awesome feeling either way, I think! … as South Korean actor Lee Byung-hun (above) who plays "Storm Shadow" in "G.I.Joe Retaliation, and American actor Clark Gregg (below) who plays "Agent Phil Coulson" in "The Avengers" (and the upcoming TV Series "Agents of S.H.I E.L.D.) can plainly witness, and we could see the utter "joy" in their eyes!

Like many males my age, from the mid-’80s to the early ’90s, my #1 hero* was Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold went right alongside a lot of boys’ pop culture during that time because he was a living and breathing superhero, at least onscreen. At a time when the most popular toy line starred a massively muscular [...]

Well, Griffon may be a bit hit or miss lately, but their latest version of Haganai's Sena is pretty much a home run in my books. Foregoing the usual bikini or uniform look, they've slipped her into a P.E. outfit, and it may be simple but it definitely isn't lacking in appeal!

Of course, the first thing I notice has to be from behind--her gorgeous hair spilling down her back looks fantastic, especially the small curl near the ends. I'd be remiss if I didn't notice the attention to detail however, and it's hard to miss the fact Griffon added a little something to her bloomers for the pantsu fans in the crowd.

Besides that, she really does look great. The face is a little different from the norm, though unlike where Griffon often screws up such a key detail, I think it works for her. It still retains some of Buriki's style, and while she doesn't look as indignant as she often does, I appreciate the somewhat more demure expression. I'll be keeping an eye on this one, and fans will be able to pick her up in July for about ¥8,500.

  • Lego has served up some great minifigures again in Series 10 of their blind bags. I really don’t have hope of finding a Mister Gold, but that really doesn’t bother me. I was in the store feeling through a bunch of bags looking for Medusa’s tail and was striking out. However, I did feel something [...]
