Well, it's almost time for E3, so I guess Custom Made Monday ought to get with the times and showcase a little bit of gaming-themed customs. Of course, I say a little bit because there's others that draw their inspiration from movies, and yet others from food and piracy. Not the online kind.
I'd suggest hopping past the jump to check them out ... because you really can't otherwise, can you?

The long running Pretty Cure series is no stranger to various figures, and soon you'll be able to pick up a new Figuarts from one of the more recent series, Smile Precure. Featuring heroine Miyuki in her guise of Cure Happy, you'll be able to act out all of your magical girl fantasies with a number of usual Figuarts accessories.
I am a little surprised to be seeing her instead of someone from the more recent Doki Doki Precure, even if the series didn't end too long ago. I'm not complaining though! I love her twin-tailed design, and as far as various characters go, she's definitely one of the better looking overall. It is, of course, no surprise that the Figuarts line allows for quite a bit of poseability, but being a bit of a fan that the trademark heart-shaped hand pose is available! For those looking to add some magic to their collection, she'll be available in September for around ¥3,210.

September is looking to be a good month for the obscurities of many franchises. Figures I never thought would see the light of day are coming in and just as many are heading back out to school. Bandai is set to release quite a bit of said figures, and thankfully, Bluefin will be bringing them over for release to North America at the beginning of October.

You've got room for another Ultimate Madoka from Puella Magi Madoka Magica right? I mean, Good Smile Company has their 1/8 scale version and the Nendoroid, Max Factory has their figma version, Banpresto has done a few prize figures, and then there are all those garage kits. Sure, there's room for one more, and from GSC once again.
Hobby JAPAN is making sure everyone is well aware that they've apparently got their hands on an exclusive remodeling of GSC's 1/8 Ultimate Madoka. Dubbed the 'I won't let your wishes end in despair! Ver.' the new figure replaces the face, body, and arms with a new pose seemingly of her clasping her hands over her chest. It's also being reported within the magazine (though not on their website) that the figure is being scaled down to 1/10 scale. Whether that remains true or not we'll soon find out.
The release method seems be causing some confusion, at least among western fans. When the figure was announced in the pages of the magazine recently people came under the impression that it would be bundled with an upcoming copy of the magazine. I can't say I've seen too many figures of this size used in a bundle. Even dropping two scales it'll remain an impressive piece and certainly require a fairly good sized box. The website instead seems to be indicating that this figure will be made-to-order with pre-orders taking place online and at hobby shops. This I can easily see.
So far there are no pictures of the actual figure, but you can definitely expect us to keep you updated as more info is available.

I continue to be surprised when products from new series start showing up, but the more popular characters aren't the ones getting shown off. In the case of Date-a-Live, we'll be taking a look at the rather unemotional kuudere, Tobiichi Origami. Hailing from Bandai's Armor Girls Project line, Tobiichi comes packed up with a Realizer unit and a number of anti-Spirit accessories, like what appears to be a CCC rifle and No Pain laser blade.
I'm not even going to pretend I wouldn't rather see Touka or Kurumi, or even more Yoshino. I'll give Bandai credit for a pretty decent looking Realizer though, and as much as I don't dig the whole kuudere thing, Tobiichi doesn't look too bad herself. As a series fan I can't help but find her hard to pass up, even if the ¥6,800 price tag is a bit much. You'll have until September to decide if she's worth recruiting yourself!
